Do short heavyweight Boxers have an low chance of being signed to a promoter these days ?

    Surprisingly I agree with everything you said. Ruiz proved the perception of him to be right. Ruiz proved he is lazy and unfocused. Very disappointing because he has the talent to be a champion who could hold his own with any of the top guys and beat them. Now that he doesn't have the title hes going to have a hard time getting another title shot because no one is going to want to risk it.

    That was my fear after the second fight. Andy has become a high risk, low reward fighter for the big guys. High risk if he gets into shape, that is, because he really does have boxing skill. The kind of guy people tend to duck. Unless he gets in a mando position, I don’t see any top fighters giving him a shot. It would be a shame if he never got another title shot. Still can’t believe how bad he looked (physically) in that rematch. I’ve watched both fights again and after the first one would have bet money that he would have gone into the second fight in ultimate shape.

    holy is listed as 6 3 as far as i remember.
    And i think he would struggle badly in this era.

    If a short heavy with an iron chin and Tua power burst onto the scene he would for sure be snapped up

    Boxing needs winners and losers so it doesn't matter if they are good athletes, tall , lean etc.
