Do Sky need to shake it up a little bit??

Bring back "Ringside"!!!

 

Now there was a fine programme.

 

I quite like Sky getting straight to the point without boring us to tears with some bull**** undercard. Having said that, some cards would make good appetizers. They just need to be able to discriminate between the good and the bad.

 

After watching Dirrell vs Abraham on showtime Sky could learn a lot from Showtime / ShoBox let alone HBO.

I like how they showed the rules before hand. Different state commisions / bbb of c and world / euro etc sanctioning bodies have different rules.

Also like the press row scoring. Get Buncy etc involved with that. Doesnt matter when Jim Watt has a shocker then.

Spencer Oliver ringside analysis is a must.

And I'd like that skybet dude not to follow whatever jim watt says.

I like teddy atlas' espn "how the fight will be won" pre analysis. Would be good to see someone like Dave Coldwell doing that.

 

Sky need to sack all employee's and start again.

 

FFN start at 9pm and run until 12am - 2 undercard fights and a main event live, highlights of other fights.
Monthly Saturday show like the Warren card with Clev, Mitchell etc.
Prizefighter on a different day - not taking up a FFN slot.
3rd commentator. Someone who will go against the grain if they have to.
More production values for build-up shows.
Spencer Oliver in the studio/involved more than he is now.

i think the only one i would keep would be spencer oliver and i agree there should be a pre-fight fight plan section and yeah bring back ringside a two hour show even once a fortnight with a couple of good fights from oversea's would be good

 

I loved Ringside. Nothing like going to visit James Hare at his little farm in the countryside and shooting a few clay pigeons.

 

I've got that on tape where Barry McGuigan interviewed Hare.

 

Have fanzone commentary like they do/used to do on the football with fans commentating. Would be interesting getting some of you lot on there

I like how they just get on with the main event, it filters out the crap undercard fights. I'm not sure, I'm just happy they give us a good weekly Fight Night to be honest, it could be better, but could be so much worse.

 

Totally and utterly agree, can't believe they ever stopped that programme, Steve Bunce would be the perfect host.

Most sports Sky cover have their own Magazine show i.e. Football (Barclays Premier League Preview, Netbusters), Rugby League (Boots n All) and Rugby Union (Rugby Club).

Why should Boxing be any different??, I think it would get some decent viewing figures if Sky Sports gave Boxing a magazine show.

 

Why am I not surprised

Must give it a watch. Sky were going for the "isn't he a dapper young chap?" angle with it.

 

They need new commentators. New pundits. Better ones who understand the sport. Ones who have an opinion. Live undercards. Less ppv's. Better fights no more of that flyweight bald guy he is wank. Replace Dave Parris.
