Do smaller HWs deserve extra "legacy points" for being small for their era?

Tyson, Holyfield took on significantly heavier opposition and IMO Holyfield for example proved himself to be a far better p4p fighter than Bowe despite losing 2/3.
Marciano was also small for his era.

So since ATG lists are p4p, and size doesnt come into ATG HW lists either(otherwise louis, marciano wouldnt be anywhere near the top 10) just legacy, should smaller heavies get extra credit for their accomplishments in terms of legacy?

Rocky? Maybe, though I don't think he'd be that far off of 10. Louis would be top 10 H2H though easilly.

There are more than 10 HWs in the last 50 years that go through Louis resumee. The ATG HW lists, from what ive seen are based on greatness for their era.
Yes h2h louis makes my top 10

Marciano? Tbh not even top 25 by now. Just too many skilled guys 200+ or even roided up 220+ pounds in recent history. I can think of 10 guys in the 80s 10 in the 90s several guys in the 2000s that are just too damn big.

Peter, briggs, rahman, tua, wlad, vitali, ibeabuchi, sanders, maskaev, ruiz he would just be a little midget next to them.

Morrison, ruddock, mercer, lewis, holyfield, bowe, foreman, douglas, bruno

Tucker, thomas, witherspoon, holmes, tubbs, smith

Let marciano train 6 months with "modern science" and gain 20lbs of muscle and this list gets ALOT shorter of course

So the 200Ib heavyweight ATG Joe Louis wouldn't be able to compete with John Ruiz who lost to two middleweights?

Or Ike Ibeabuchi who's best wins are 5'10" Tua and Chris Byrd (probably not even a Light Heavyweight)

Show me where i said that? Did you read my post? I said h2h Louis makes my top 10 all time.

I said Marciano at 185lbs would not make my h2h top 25, and i even said that wih 20lbs extra muscle he would be competitive with the majority of those 25 guys

no, its about skill, within limits.

and thats limits imposed by size as well as in respect to size difference.

    No in a word.

The heavyweight division is an unlimited weight class.

You increase a heavyweight champion's pound for pound ranking if he was small for the weight class, but in terms of his heavyweight ranking, it only matters who he beat and how.
