Give it 5 to 10 years and all this heat wears off, and most people will simply respect him for the great fighter he is.

Happens ALL the time. But because he's the recent number 1 guy, it's human nature to try and bring down the one at the top.

 

Floyd is great, and he is also someone who will never in his life fight Antonio Margarito.

In watching the fight again it was clearer to me that there is no way on earth Floyd would be able to escape from Margo for 12 rounds. I thought he might be able to, but after watching Cotto's obliteration a second time I just can't see it. Floyd would be stopped by Margarito, just as another supposed unbeatable fighter was last night.

Margo is a monster, and there is absolutely nothing Floyd could do to get Margo's respect or slow him down at all, save low blows. PBF would be run over and the "0" would go, just as Cotto's did.

Yes, PBF quit because he knew what I knew, and knew what would happen to Cotto last night and didn't want to get called out by Margo again like he was when he turned down a then-career-high $8 million payday.

Antonio Margarito retired Floyd Mayweather with an assist by Paul Williams. And PBF better stay retired and hope to God Paul Williams can beat Margo in their rematch, or else Floyd will never live his cowardice down.
