John Duddy, its time to start getting some big fights at 154. Ronald Hearns would be a decent start but problems with his promoters could hamper any fights for him in the near future.

Yes McKart is fighting Karmazin on the 20th. Contrary to popular opinion Bronco is not completely shot, but he sure as hell ain't prime either. I know practically nothing about Karmazin. If Bronco can pull out a win here, he sould try to get some kind of good pay day, and then retire. If he loses, he definitely should retire. He's an old favorite of mine, so of course I want him to win, but not many think he can.

No, good call on Tavoris. He was poised to fight RJJ at one point, and everyone who's been following him for a while says he's the goods. Not a blip of notable news though.

I'll be satisfied if I've heard of Kessler's opponent. A Wright or Taylor would be great, a Berrio or Green will do. :yep

I think Cloud might be the real deal, but I don't think he is anywhere near the finished product. For one thing he needs to develop a jab and learn to use it. I'd keep him more or less protected for a few more fights.

Never heard the RJJ link before, that would have been painful to watch:!:

Havent heard a peep myself. He is the real deal though, bit of work on the Jab, thats it.

I'll take any name for Kessler at the momment, wright, taylor or green will do nicely

Agree with the jab, 1 more step up(maybe Henry) and i'd stick him in with a Tarver or the like. Ive got nothing but confidence in him.

Made in Hell is a class fighter, got bushwhacked by Bunema though. Remains to be seen if that was an off-night or if he's got one foot through the 'shot' door himself. A decisive, preferably stoppage victory over McKart would suggest the former; anything else the latter.

They're both part of the round robin chase for the WBA title over the last few years that includes Garcia, Simms, Alcine, Rivera, and Santos. :yep

It was before Hanshaw was eventually named as his second comeback opponent after Prince.

McKart/Karmazin is for the vacant NABF middleweight title. Pavlik won it in the Zuniga fight, defended against McKart and Zertuche and then vacated. McKart won it against Ornelas and then lost it in a rematch. Ornelas lost it to Rubio on the Pavlik/Hopkins undercard. Rubio immediately vacated due to his title shot against Pavlik. It's a good steppng stone, so the winner sould get a WBC title eliminator.

Oh yeah, I didn't mean to imply that this fight had anything to do with the WBA belt, just that it's funny how you can take a zillion different paths to connect these guys within a few degrees of separation. :yep

I'm going to go ahead and toss another name into this mix - a Roman Karmazin victim, no less  - *Kassim Ouma. With a big, bold asterisk. It's really not too late for him to get his career back on track if he wants to - but that's the million dollar question and I wouldn't wager a penny on it one way or the other. After all the ups and downs in the guy's life (is that biopic on him going to be in theaters or is that an HBO thing?) it's hard to say whether something like becoming a champion and etching a legacy is something you'd expect him to be hungry for or consider trivial. He sure does have his problems, and hopefully he gets the right people around him telling him the right things and puts his talents (and that unreal chin) to productive (and lucrative) use. Losing to Cornelius Bundrage is beneath him, he needs to snap out of it. I thought for sure he'd retire after that embarrassment, but he just fought Clay, so clearly he's pushing on. He needs to bring the fire if he's going to insist on doing that, especially since even at his best he needs to overcome some serious obstacles against top competition (he's not the best boxer and is somewhat featherfisted).

I would love to see Ouma bounce back. His life story is incredible. The loss to K-9 was ugly, ugly, ugly. This is the same K-9 that recently lost to 200 year old Grady Brewer. (Was that boxing, or are these guys **** poor wrestlers now?) Right now I think Ouma is an open question. I don't think he is "shot," but I have to wonder how motivated he is.

Chris John: the man is the same age as Pac and seems to be a pretty decent boxer too. Last I head there were plans for him to fight Rocky Juarez, don't know if there is any truth to that. Seriously he needs to make a splash in North America and stop fighting in Indonesia and Japan.

Jorge Linares: Has anyone heard of anything significant from him since his impressive win over Oscar Larios?

Nonito Donaire: Ok, he stopped Darchinyan but Darchinyan has been the one making the good fights since then with Gorres and Mijares.

Edwin Valero: Won't be too hard on the guy since I'm not even sure if he can box outside of Texas in the States but he needs to take on good opposition so he can get some good fights soon.
