middleweight is weak in depth. currently watching sebastien sylvester fight a very average frenchmen for the european title . the frenchmen really is very poor in technique and abilty , yet is giving sylvester a hard fight just walking through him. sylvester not willing to just plant his feet and back him up amd make the fight easy.
its on the same channell that showed the povetkin v chambers fight das erste. i have 2 satelittes 1 for sky and one moterised system for european tv.
there is about 7 channels on there that show regular boxing and a few more that i cannot read the text on to know what is coming. russian sports channels for example. but i have had european tv for 20 years now.
Good question Dan? But with all this debat going on what are your thoughts on the other green belt (IBO)?
WBO is a recognized World Title. To be considered a Recognized World Title, it means that the other Recognized World titles take the Champion out of their "Challenger" rankings. WBO is recognized by the WBA, WBC, and IBF as a World Title. You can tell by simply looking at the rankings of the other recognized orgs, when someone because WBO Champion, they immediately drop out of the rankings.... in turn... they are recognizing that person is a world Champion, not a challenger.
Fair rankings but no mandatories. The last thing we need is a fifth belt. That wasn't the question in the thread was it?
Ultimately I don't think the American media recognises the WBO bauble. Therefore a lot of American fight fans will not recognise it. But in reality, it has a list of decent champions at multiple weights since it's inception and is slowly but surely creeping up on the others. To America, I think, it's the "big 3", but to the rest of the world it's "the big 4". All in all, most of us see through the bull**** of all alphabet straps and realise that they are all pieces of ****.
