I like the klits and I have never had you respond to a post of mine like you say above, because there are none, Althought I do give credit where it is due, people that can think can do that. So STFU A*****E. Your bull**** don't fly. If I hated fighters based on what others said about them I would hate many fighters, and I don't. Basing your hate for the reason you do shows that you are unable to think for yourself and should leave ESB :deal

I agree with this but it's not about white or black, the most hate for the Klitschkos comes from Britain.

    Can someone explain me why?

    Superb post.:dealRight on the button.

I'm from the UK and I don't hate the brothers at all.Quite the contrary in fact.I never hated Vitali but I wasn't keen on Wlad, but in the build up to the Haye fight,I realised I had the guy all wrong.A very likeable guy with a good grasp on humour too.Thought he won the fight in the build up.
The problem is the disgraceful short-sightedness and unwillingness to move on from a large number of fans on ESB.They go on about people being butthurt, well most of us don't give a **** that Lennox is the blot on Vitali's record that can't be erased. They post thinly-disguised threads that carry all the humour of the KGB in their cold war pomp.
I think they've done very well with the opponents at their disposal. But when it comes to all these threads saying Lennox retired because of Vitali, well sometimes it's just too tempting to put things straight.
But the truth is most of us couldn't care less.
We know the truth and don't give it much thought.

There are parts of Harlem you couldn't afford to live in.

Your racist comments likely span from your low IQ. You're not even a boxing fan, you're an agenda driven troll who is physically insecure. So you constantly bring up race at every moment you get because apparently the Klitschko brothers validate you. You've been butthurt all your life and now K2 has given you something to live for. I'm embarrassed to be supporting the same fighter as you.

    Well put.

    As for the thread starter?

    1. Obsessed Klitschko fans are the only fans on ESB that constantly need to discredit fighters from yesteryear in order to prop up Vitaly and Wlad. No other fans do this on ESB. The only fighters that they don't discredit are the ones that are fighting in this era or ones that can conceivably give Vitaly or Wlad a boost.

    2. Race is only an issue to obsessed Klitschko fans who can't understand why other posters don't overrate the brothers. It's not because they're not black; after all Manny Pacquiao isn't black.

It's not because they're not British either; Lennox Lewis wasn't exactly a media darling and he was criticized for the majority of his career and he's both black and British.

And finally it's not because they're not American and black; Larry Holmes was maligned throughout the majority of his 7 year 20 title defense reign which included 10 consecutive knockouts.

    3. The Heavyweight Title has often been dubbed as the most prized possession in sports and therefore Heavyweight Champions tend to get more scrutiny than fighters in lower weight classes. People have always wanted the Heavyweight Champion to embody the moniker of being the "baddest man on the planet" who can "lick any son of a ***** in the house."

I'm not sure what's more frustrating to watch; having a next door neighbor buy a brand new Porsche and refuse to go above the speed limit even in the open road or watching Wladimir Klitschko defending his title. In the same manner that people resent athletes who squander their fortunes people seem to resent Wlad simply because it's within his capability to change his public perception; he has the attributes necessary to be a stone cold killer in the ring. Instead he chooses to be a surgical technician who demoralizes and disposes fighters in the most unimaginative fashion. This is why he's considered boring.

Vitaly on the other hand is a fighter whose talent far exceeds his legacy. Although his style is a bit more engaging than Wlad's it's not mind blowing to the extent that a casual fan would go out of their way to see him fight. His fights unfortunately aren't "events" the way some of the fighters from yesteryears were. Real boxing fans should appreciate his style, but I can only imagine that casual fans would tune in more often if he fought with a killer instinct.

On ESB I think most of the disdain for Vitaly Klitschko stems from his obsessed fans who can't get over the fact that he was bested by an over the hill Lennox Lewis who essentially botched the "passing of the torch" for Vitaly. Most fighters in that position who fail to beat the aging champion and fight the rest of their careers without ever having the distinction of being undisputed almost never make the top 20 lists, let alone the top 10 unless they have a stacked resume which Vitaly does not have. Yes on ESB Vitaly makes the top 10 lists and when reasonable objections are made the response is to discredit an ATG fighter from yesteryear while propping up Vitaly. This inevitably leads to Klitschko fans arguing with obsessed Klitschko fans simply because obsessed Klit fans overrate every aspect of this era to cater to Vitaly and Wlad.

When I was first on ESB in 2002/2003 the overall sentiment was that the era was dying down and that we had a weak era ahead of us. It was reinforced in 2004 when not much talent came into the division even after the Sydney Olympics. This wasn't because Vitaly and Wlad were dominating; frankly in 2004 Wlad was during his worst 2 year period of his career. Vitaly was getting scared off into retirement by Hasim Rahman (He was injured, I know). So Vitaly and Wlad moving to the head of the pack makes them great but the opponents they are beating are a cut below the fighters of yesteryear. And people aren't saying that to discredit K2 but they say that because they have eyes and they can see that these guys today are not as good as the contenders of previous divisions.

Keep trying flower, but I'm afraid just because you keep saying it doesn't make it so.
Try reading the thread and you'll see the reasons why people are sick of the fans, not the brothers.
The irony of your posts are actually quite breathtaking. The only hero who got whupped is yours.
If you weren't being serious your inability to acknowledge the hypocrisy of your posts would be wonderfully funny.

    So this.

They are great guys outside of the ring, but Wlad makes his fights unwatchable by refusing to engage. When you take something that should be fun and turn it into a dental visit, you can't expect praise for your efforts.

They are not nearly as great, or as horrible, as they get credit for being.

It is true that every Brit that stepped in the ring with them got whooped by a Klitschko.

But, the Klitschkos beat way more Americans than Brits.

And you see a lot of Americans respecting/supporting the brothers.

You rarely see a British supporter of the Klitschkos. If any.

It's not that people hate THEM per se. It's that people hate their fans who have had their mouths firmly around their nuts for the past 4-5 years. If you ask them, they're both (Because boxing is a tag team business now) the greatest boxers ever and would ko Ali, Foreman, Tyson and Lewis in the same night (Nevermind that 3 sentences ago, they were saying about how all these fighters were overrated one way or another).

Add that to the fact that these people actually mean it and that pisses off the people on here who actually know **** about boxing, who have to then go show that neither one of them is invincible by using past examples of their defeats and show how vulnerable they really are and the fact that this is one of the weakest eras of HW boxing. Of course then the plethora of excuses fly out from "This isn't a weak era of boxing!" to the ol' "But Vitali won the event!/Wlad was clearly drugged!". So (much like with Mayweather and Pacquiao for instance) this leads the non Klitschko fans to want them to lose, not because they personally are hated, but just to shut their fans up.
