Look, our top boxers in Australia have being doing the same for years (Danny Green and Antony Mundine), fighting bums, Maximum reward for little or no risk and the Aussie public still buys their fights

Are the Poms the same ? Will they ingest anything they are spoon fed and buy this sham of a PPV ?

This fight is like Manchester United playing Folkestone town ! it is that much of a mismatch !

But it is getting hyped, people will buy into it, it will make money and i guess that's the sad bottom line

I think you are doing Folkestone town a disservice.

People on here know what it is. A sad mismatch to pad David Haye's bank account even further.

Whether the average sports fan that knows Audley Harrison sees it the same way is anyones guess. Even if they acknowledge that many would pay to see Audley Harrison sparked and his delusions ended.

Come on...anyone who took Hayes claim that he was going to liven up the division at face value has to be a grade A knob....fighters fight for money and glory, or money, but never just for glory.

Not for the first time in my life, then, I think I deserve to be called a knob!

I bought into his line. I thought he would get tonked, but I still thought he'd go for it.

And he could have got money and glory fighting the K's...though I think this forum has had enough discussions that revolve around 50/50 for one decade.

And to answer the question, I think hardocre fans know it is a crock of ****. However, we buy enough crock of shits when they involve foreign fighters. As the casual, I think this fight is as big as any out there and honestly believe it will do the business. What do the K brothers really mean to your man in the street? They're just names with alphabet letters attatched to them. The public is sold the line that Haye is the heavyweight champion - he is the portion of a PPV that will get the pound notes in. Any opponent can and will be hyped up to do the business. Even Fraudley.

At least Green gives you excitment in other ways!

Fighting Vitali in several years when he's about 542 years old isn't going to wash either, everyone can see that game.

On this very day, today, Vitali is clearly already on the edge.

The bus for a credible real legacy making fight with Vitali is currently signalling its departure and Mr Haye is not on board.

It appears the Brits will buy anything these days-much like the Montreal crowd. They don't realize they are being ripped off until it's over.

The average sports fan will buy into it. 3 of my mates who aren't big boxing fans texted me immediatley following the press conference to ask me if I was up for going to the M.E.N for the fight.

The media can hype a fight between a snail and a tortoise if they want to and people will buy it

People have been tuning in just to see Harrison get his arse kicked for years.

This is no different. I'll still tune in to see Audley get knocked out.

Jesus. This fight will sell to most people because they expect a 30 second massacre.

Hopefully Audley comes out swinging and they get a surprise. I really want to see a rematch!

Sometimes it's nice to be taken for a ride.

This is gonna be a bit of fun and I'm looking forward to it.

We know this is a non fight.

Whether we buy it or not is a completely different question.
