PPV money is usually more than ticket money

Look at the live gate for Mayweather-DLH, then look at how many PPVs they sold.

The casinos make ridiculous amounts of money from the people who come to Vegas and gamble, eat, drink, etc...

yeah i think the live gate was about 19 mil and that was a new record....

now 2.1 mil PPV buys at 54.95.....115.4 mil or so

not really. Take for example Mosley vs Delahoya at staple center in LA. 22,000 people with an average ticket price of $1,120.00 or 24.6mil for the gate. In the bigger fights the gate and ppv is about the same. I think that Hopkins Wright was a fight that the gate was higher then the ppv.

    PPV! :yep

Gate sales is always limited by the capacity of the venue. Plus there will always be bigger number of people who wanted to watch the fight without travelling to the site incurring additional expenses.

PPV is world wide friend. :D

No, PPV is more for the big ones (but not mega) as well. For instance, Mayweather-Judah did about what, 350,000? At $50 each, that's close to $18 mll.

I'm pretty sure the live gates were less.
