Well at the risk of abuse, and before anybody starts on me it's nothing to do with being British or supporting AJ but Spence Jr above AJ? I personally don't see how that is possible. What has Spence Jr done that is more impressive? His best win is Kell Brook, no unification fights, just look at his resume and tell me it's P4P list material. I'm sure there are others who have a case for being above Spence Jr, I have to add I really like Spence Jr, I rate him but he hasn't done enough yet.. he may well do but as of right now it's simply not enough.
Nice to see they've finally come to their senses and moved Spence down to #10 which to be fair is still too high a ranking for him.
risk of abuse because people in this forum get their panties in a bunch simply because someone else has a different opinion
He beat career 140 pounder Paulie level featherfist Algieri who was 1-2 in his last 3 fights Career 140 pounder featherfist Lamont Peterson who should've been 1-2 in his last 3 fights And 42 y/o Paulie level featherfist Leonard Bundu So to quote the great Lennox Lewis: ''I don't even know what you're talking about, Larry''
can you tell me your opinion on this maybe there is something i am missing. im not asking sarcastically im just interested to hear who you have as #1
For the moment I have Canelo as #1. Besides beating Brook I can’t think of any other worthy opponents that Spence has beaten. Crawford unified 140 (a very weak division), but since moving to 147 has been feasting on extremely weak opposition. Jose was a former roommate and friend of mine, but he had no business fighting Crawford. Crawford deserves to be on the list, but by no means should he be in the top 5. Loma didn’t fight the best available at 130, so that can’t be ignored. Linares was a decent win while Pedraza was just an opponent. Rigo and Marriaga on the other hand are complete non factors. Like Crawford Loma has been dominant in multiple weight classes against weak competition, so he deserves to be on the list, but like Crawford he shouldn’t be in the top 5. Top 5 P4P Canelo Mikey Garcia Usyk Joshua Fury or Wilder
