My point is simple. How much of an expert can he actually be at this point if he picked Marquez over Mayweather? Sugar is pretty old. He may be suffering the early effects of dimentia.

    No one except for me.

I have said it before, and I will take this opportunity to say it again.

    **** Cotto.
    **** Shane.
    **** Floyd.
    **** them all.

It's borederline criminal how they pretty much forced him out of the WW division because he was too much of a risk for the PPV numbers...

    That is all.

I think that Floyd left too many big fights hang out to dry to be honest. Beating an old Mosley and a smaller Pac. He passed up on so many opportunities already in his career.

I agree that he should have cleaned out house at 147 which would have helped his legacy immensely. He's missed out on fights with Cotto, Pac, Margarito, Williams etc.

Pac has had classic battles with fellow ATG's in the lower weights in Barerra, Morales and Marquez. Anything he has done since is just an icing on the cake. Floyd doesn't have that luxury and doesn't have those great wins against great opposition.

I agree that MPs career will be complete if he beats (or even fights & loses) to FM.... if FM beats MP I think that is quite an exceptional career but it still wont be enough to get FM the ranking that he feels he deserves.... he has the ability to fight & beat MP, Mosely & Williams at 154 IMO, that should be his goal, those 3 guys.... & if he wins all those fights, he should reach for the stars & have a bash at Pavlik at 160 before retiring, win or lose he will earn MASSIVE ATG respect from every respectable person in the boxing world bar none.

Who on earth could grudge him a top 10 spot if he did all of that ?

Thats what Id like to see from FM but Im almost certain it aint gonna happen... but I hope he at least does half of that **** (Mosely & MP)

exactly they gone look at mosley as the man who destroyed the champion that destroyed a champion. Pac is not the Champion. I dont think yall get it.
Floyd is fighting the champion this is the guy that lived in a parallell universe with Floyd that we have been waiting to see. Pac and Shane I have no problem with him as an all time great high on the list.
But yes its more then Pac he has to beat Shane.

He cant beat on those 154 pounders. He has the weakest hands in the business and hitting paul williams or KP will snap his hands like gatti going to the body on ward did.

Hatton after he was Ko'd by Mayweather, therefore Mayweathers win is more credible.

De La Hoya, when he was weight drained and looked like crap against steve forbes, Mayweather fought De La Hoya at his comfortable, therefore Mayweather gets more credit.

Lost to Morales in the 1st, and then beat him after he had already lost and was further on the decline.

    Cotto was clearly damaged goods

Go through both fighters resume's head to head and you will see Pac's is over hyped. If Mayweather beats Mosley he is ranked higher than Pacquiao, and then if he beats Pac he will enter top 15 ATG no doubt.

anyone can break down a resume. pacs resume is superb compared to floyd. barrera pfp3. marquez p4p2. morales pfp7. cotto pfp8. pac is fighting the cream of the welters after competing with the featherweight golden era that is remarkable. who has floyd fought that are better than those fighters? dont say marquez he was bloated.

you don know **** if you think pacs resume is overhyped, it wont be repeated for 50 years or more.

thats bull****. mosley is 38 way past his prime and pac beat cotto who beat mosley. floyd would have to beat pavlik or a middleweight titleholder to match pacs resume.

And where do those fighters rank on an all time list that would warrant Pac being in the top 20?

The only fighter today that can elevate Pac to the status of top 20 is by beating a fellow top 50 ATG in Floyd.

Otherwise, Pac will stay somewhere in the top 50, but certainly outside the top 20.

I'm not saying they aren't GREAT wins, cause they are. But let's not overrate them... and the fighters.
