Do U Guys Think Miguel Cotto is Damaged Goods?

Margo won that fight clear. Clottey as usual making his excuse of injured hand when it wasnt. Clottey is overrated, you cant stand in the middle of the ring and block ****in punches all night. He was crap against Judah as well. Cotto without the eye problem would have won an easy UD.

 

he's not "Damaged Goods", though I do believe he has not fully recoverd from the Margo fight mentaly. But he should be able to beat Pac in Nov.

 

Cotto doesn't have the aura of near-invincibility anymore he had after the Mosley and Gomez fights, but he's nowhere near beeing damaged goods.

Damaged goods don't beat a very focused Clottey beeing cut for 10 rounds.

If Cotto shows up in tip top shape (which he always does) stays smart behind his excellent jab and manages to avoid Pac's left hand most of the time the philipino superstar will have his hands full in this fight.

I have never said that Margarito didn't cheat, all I asked was why the CSAC never confirmed what was on his knuckle pads besides a couple ingridients found in a great deal of things.

But the real argument here is that Cotto most defitnately lost something vs Tony, and ANYONE who has followed boxing long enough knows that it is very common for fighter to leave something in the ring after a fight such as that one.

 

Maybe not damaged goods but not the same since Margo. He attacks the body less. Is less agressive in general and does more running. Clottey made him look bad. However, cotto is cotto and also has alot of heart i think pac will win but cotto is gonna make him work every round for it.

he still has skill and competitiveness, but if he starts taking punishment, he will not last as long as when he was in his prime. I think this is a terrible style matchup for Cotto.
