do u consider him a serious prospect who could go beyond europe may be picking up a belt and have a solid regin as a HW champion or do u regard him as a lesser fighter, i dont like him, his comments are annoying and he shows complete dissrespect for his opponents he critisizes his opponents for being out of shape whilst physically he isnt much different, (he called every1 in he domestic division stepping stones)
last fridays performance was lackluster, may be it was an off night but to say bold statements like ''i'm the best thing since ali'' and to be made to grind out a points victory against a domestic level opponent is quite rediculous to say the least if fury was a wild horse or had skills to be a decent world level opperator he'd have done much better last friday IMHO, He would have shown signs of world class skills however he looked sluggish and uncordinated he'll probrably pick up a european belt and be a small time contender in a less then pathetic division.
    your thoughts

I take him seriously and I respect how active he is and the fact that he's moving his level of opposition up quite quickly.

I dont think, however, that he'll get beyond European level. At his age he could still improve massively but on current impressions I havent seen much to suggest he'll go beyond Euro level.

He has only had 8 fights though. To take a potential British title holder the full 10 rounds in close fashion after 8 fights isnt too bad regardless of the refs decision. I think he has a long way to go and MUST improve ina lot of areas. Saying that he has every ioppourtunity to improve lots and needs to take more time to earn title shots,. Theres no rush

I take him seriously as a prospect, but I think he needs to take his time with his career a bit more. I give him respect for wanting to fight bigger names so soon, but I'm not sure if it'll benefit his progression as this stage. I think he needs a few more fights under his belt before stepping up.

But, like indie_uk1 said, even taking that fight the distance in a close fashion after only 7 bouts deserves some kind of respect. It's just a shame that it is overshadowed by the terrible decision.

He has room for improvement and I could see him mixing it at Euro level given time, but I'm not so sure he can go beyond.

    I take him Serious.

I laugh at him sometimes the way he goes on but i like the guys attitude and the way he fought the other night showed he's no gimmick even if people feel he lost. As a fighter he has skills but i feel moving to Egan has already shown it's a bad move...with the right development he could do well for himself.

I worry that his nutter dad could hinder his development! At the end of the fight as tyson was posing with the belt. Hios dad sparked some essex boy and casued a mass brawl. Madness!!!!

Why wouldn't you take him seriously?

Where are all the other 21 year old heavyweights that are better at this point?

I certainly dont take him seriously, he has a big mouth and showed last week that he isnt the fighter yet to back it up.

I read the article in boxing monthly and it disgusted me, his father is a scumbag 100%. At one point in the interview he was bragging about his other song having over 40 odd convictions for violence, complete idiot. Also in this article tyson was preaching about how much of a good christian he is. It didnt suprise me because of how hypocritical and idiotic the guy is like most christians. I cant wait for the day he gets sparked out and we can get rid of this awful family from british boxing.

I still think he is a good prospect but the McDermott fight came too soon. He still needs a few shaping up fights against guys like Swaby who will help him learn the game.

Maybe have been too soon but he managed to get 10 rounds of hard boxing in, we also learnt a lot about the real Fury. Where he has too improve and what it will take to do that. For the first time in 8 fights he has managed to get some feedback instead of just knocking out fighters

I think he will have learned so much from fridays fight its untrue. He will now have a rough idea just how much he needs to improve in every department. If he has the desire to do this then yes i think he will still go a long way.
