I think Calzaghe will dominate this fight from start to finish and make it look fairly easy. I do think we'll see flashes of greatness from Roy here and there but they will be fleeting moments....I hope that I'm wrong about this though! Go Jones!

Roy has been very gunshy in the early rounds of his last three fights, which doesn't bode well for catching Joe early, as other fighters have been able to do.

You guys are tweaking joe calzaghe is going to get his ass beat by roy. joe is good but riy jones is light years ahead of joe calzaghe. Roy gets beat 3 times and now hes washed up.Thats some bull**** all of those loses were all fluck. he was the best fighter in the world for 10 years. all am saying is that its a wrap for joe.

I think he will be dangerous for the first 12 rounds. Let's all remember that this is Roy Freaking Jones we're talking about here, not Tocker Pudwill.

If anything he would be at his least dangerous in the opening rounds . . . Roys style these days is to sit back early and feel your power . . . If he thinks you cant hurt him like he felt with Tito he will open up on you, which is what i expect against Calzaghe . . . But Calzaghe wont stop punching for the 12 so its a decision the judges have to make, Calzaghe work rate or Jones harder shots . . .

I think Roy Jones is gonna start rather slow looking to counter and try and preserve energy. I think he will be dangerous for the entire fight, but I don't think he's gonna go for an early KO. I think he believes he can outbox Calzaghe and win a wide UD

Definitely. He's still got power; still got counter-punching skills and speed. And he knows Calzaghe has no power at 175. He's going to swing for the fences, cause he damn sure knows he can't win on workrate.

Roy will be a threat. But I'm not expecting an early KO.

More likely in the middle to late rounds when Calzaghe gets complacent, Roy has been a very slow starter lately.

Jones last beat up a Vargas-sized Trinidad who fought twice in the previous four years, and it was an even fight for the first six. then Jones realized that Tito couldn't throw a combo with any authority, so Roy just unloaded on him. It was a great fight for Roys confidence, but, you really need to take the tito, henshaw and prince albibabi fights and put them into context.

Calzaghe is a very different animal, and he's been fighting top-notch fighters and if he is in top-notch shape, I really don't see Jones beating him. I suppose Roy could get lucky and score a KO, but Calzaghe has a great chin and excellent stamina. I certainly cannot see Jones out-boxing or out-fighitng Cazlaghe.
