Maybe that's the problem. We all "root for" *people* when we should be "rooting for" *things.* Things that people like ourselves want. Material things, like gold, and like frankincense. Things that I like, like that, instead of making it about identity. Make it out practicality and oneself. Follow your own mind and personality, by supporting your self with all of the things that money can buy, instead of the shallowness of cults of personality and schadenfreude. It's things that are what matters in life and how winning is done. It is only people who are the ones who have to do it. So, stop following people and start following the things that make people alright to live..

I've for plenty of "things" but they never bring me anywhere near as much as joy as when might favourite fighter or team wins and never will.

Wanting for material things is strange, for me it's all about human emotion. Bizzare to call people shallow for cheering a boxer on, but then suggest we should cheer gold watches on instead. Wtf

I always liked Dillian but I've never supported him as a fighter.

Actually that's wrong I wanted him to beat AJ, that's about it.

Just like AJ he always finds a way to look really really poor in his bouts at various stages.

Well, I mean, is it? Really? Society is built on time, dude. Try running a society without watches and calendars. Society would fall apart-crumble-like so much cake. But you try and wrap Tyson Fury around your wrist. Only be left with one part that could do it and it would pop off at random. And what kind of time would he tell? What kind of life would the two of you lead? No, you follow watches, not people. That is the only way to make it right. Bizarre? Man...projection much? Like, what's your damage or something? For reals.

I am 33 and one half years old. But since time is apparently irrelevant, according to people like you, we shouldn't treasure it or the things that keep track of it for us-only the people who wear them? Oh, my God, Becky. Maybe you are the one who is the young one and I am the one who is not that.

I'll be rooting for him, though taking a dispassionate examination of the fight I don't expect him to win.

I suppose what I want most from the fight is that Dillian prove his doubters wrong and take Fury to the wire, or at least knock him down heavily a few times and rough him up some more. Something like the Sam Peter vs Wlad Klitschko first fight, where Wlad was the clear winner, but Peter was the one who could come away saying he'd done all the significant damage.

Currently Whyte is thought of as this useless lump that would lose to Andy Ruiz and the like. In the aftermath I hope people have a higher opinion of him (obviously not if he gets smashed up).

I still back Whyte. My thesis hasn’t changed, I said repeatedly that Whyte could lose to povetkin. And I referenced many links where Whyte said the same, and that he wasn’t underestimating Povetkin.

He did really well in that fight but got caught by a beautiful punch, its heavyweight boxing and Pov is a puncher.

Today, I accept Fury can win but back Whyte to get the job done. He will put more pressure on Fury than he can handle, will be Fury’s toughest fight to date in my opinion.

I took time off the forum because it was vehemently against Whyte as a majority even before Whyte got KOd.
There is far more support for Fury here, and Dillian Whyte and his fans gets ragged on tremendously.

so be it, is what it is. I backed Whyte for three years on here. Joined 2018.

Always up against the overwhelming majority opinion.

Also, I said before Fury would be Whytes hardest fight stylistically, but that no way is Fury head and shoulders or levels above Whyte as a fighter.

And I believe today we will witness that Whyte isnt as terrible in the ring as people think, and Fury isn’t as incredible as people think.

I see Whyte putting much more pressure than Wallin or Wilder or Schwarz

A rematch between them would be even bigger and the build up would be off the scale

Also I think AJ is done unless he overcomes his confidence issues.

I've not heard from anyone in the media or at large that Whyte is a useless lump.

If anything, people have overstated how good he is and have suddently turned him into some sort of Tyson/Ali reincarnation.

Tim Bradley kept comparing him to Joe Frazier, which was a ridiculous comparison. Never heard him called a Tyson/Ali reincarnation, but given some of the crap like the above it wouldn't surprise me. Anyway, the media have their job to do; they're hardly going to be calling him a flat-footed oaf with no balance are they?

On here though he's constantly ridiculed and written off, that's undeniable.
