I liked watching his fights back to the 2005 shobox fights he had, I thought he was very good. The fight with Thompson was incredibly boring, but he's been much more entertaining vs. Tsurkan(I personally thought this was a good TV scrap and he showed a good adjustment/professionalism) and the fight with Roman was a good outclassing, albeit both being top 20's at best. I don't think he'll win a major title or anything, but I like most of his fights, his style and he's a great guy, so I would hope that he gets a title shot against somebody he can beat at 154(happens that some really excellent fighters are in that division with Alcine, Simms, Forrest etc.), too bad that Mora doesn't have a title, you'd have to favour anyone decent to good over Mora. Maybe 12 rounders will benefit Foreman as he seems very good at adjusting and sweeping later rounds, some have been rather close in the tenners because he lost early rounds on inactivity. The guy's tough though, tougher than you'd think and his chin is quite good to accompany solid fundamentals and a great amatuer pedigree and defensive mindset.
I thought he showed more potential earlier in his career. I just don't see him as really amounting to anything.
He's tough and he's a damn good boxer but he couldn't crack an egg. I don't know how far he'll go without some punching power.
I like Yuri. To me, he's much more entertaining to watch than crude KO artists. He has some very slick and sophisticated boxing skills.
I like him a lot, good boxer, moves great, works the jab and angles, i think he can win a title. And he is getting bloody fast, i hope that can turn into some more power.
The Tsurkan fight illustrates that Foreman works best when he's fighting off the back foot and is playing matador to a charging bull. The fight with Thompson was indeed quite dull, but it didn't help that the HBO announcers gave up on it very quickly and spent the rest of the time either bashing it or speaking about unrelated matters. As much as it was a lame fight, a lack of enthusiasm from Lampley and co. can be quite detrimental to the ambiance.
Yuri fought some tough opposition in his weightclass. One of his strength is that he can adapt easily to fighting styles, and change his gameplan in the middle of the fight. He is more about to outsmart his opponents, than outmuscle.
I don't know, he's not really a slickster who entertains with his boxing skills, and he's not a puncher, he's kinda crude but he does have some skill. I've seen I want to see 3 or 4 of his fights, and I just can't get on his bandwagon.
