Do we read too much into Furys magical night against Wlad?

Fury outboxed a guy who had never been outboxed before. And hadn't lost a fight in over a decade. How else can you read into it? As evidenced by the Joshua fight, it's not like he was shot either.

I think people don't really understand the kind of fighter Fury is.

He's as limited power wise, as Wilder is technically.

Fury 'Looking good' = Not getting KO'd.

Fury got in his head and played on what Emanuel Steward had taught him about only throwing a punch if it’s there kind of thing......All well and good but I’m quite sure Wlad would of thrown punches in the rematch.
What’s more worrying for Fury fans is that at his best he used to mark his opponents up like we seen with Chisora and Wlad, other night his punches were so light he couldn’t even scratch his opponent.
I don’t think he has that unknown thing about anymore and I reckon Wilder will just think he’s a giant but I can trade with him which would be great for us viewers but not so great for Fury.
Cause of his movement he gets compared to Ali but Ali used to knock folk out and punched hard.

this is what i predicted pre fight, and it seems i underestimated pianeta, cause i still thought fury would stop him. so yes, i think fury is overated by many.

    @Angler Andrew

You claim he's lost this 'unknown factor'......

But apparently he still has it with you as you're claiming he's going to 'trade with Wilder' lol.

Wilder has yet to show enough ring IQ to force a guy who moves like Fury to trade.

I actually said the opposite to the above,if Wilder feels like he can take a few off Fury to get his own more powerful shots off it would be good viewing.
Each to their own but sliding and slipping with less than ten punches a round isn’t much fun to watch.

The emphasis on making a fight 'fun', should always land on the guy who's losing.

If I can land one punch per round, and win it, why wouldn't I?

    'Hit, and don't get hit'......

One thing about Fury is that he knows how to keep the heavy punches from landing. He just might box Wilder into a loss, unless his stamina gives out.

    Yes.

It was a GREAT win but styles make fights and as yet Fury hasn't "confirmed" that form with another big win.

I genuinley think that approach worked down to Wlads nature of being incredibly cautious and patient.

It's like this, if Fury can do the same thing vs Wilder then we will know that the dude is legit.

If wilder comes forward an kos him we will know that the Wlad fight was a one off and Fury benefitted from Wlad being annoyingly over cautious.

There's also his double standard where the AJ haters say Wlad would have ko'd AJ if he had just come forward and thrown punches after the knockdown.

Yet I say Wlad would have given himself a better chance against Fury by not being so cautious but according to the AJ haters thats totally different

In the AJ fight there was a power deterrent for just going gung-ho as Wlad had already been put over and hurt by AJ.

In the Fury fight Fury never hurt him except for slightly buzzing him with a flush cheap shot while Wlad was looking in the other direction.
