Do we really want to see David Haye lose?

If is a fight between Haye & Adamek...Ah, **** YEAH I wanna see him lose!

I hate his persona. His big, blimey mouth. Thats all he's got is a BIG MOUTH.

Adamek has "Cheen" & alot more. Damn near the total package as a PRO Fighter. Thats what I watch boxing for.

You might be right. I still believe he'd rather fight Vitali over Wlad b/c Vitali is starting to slow down and show his age. But if Vitali shows up like he did for the Arreola fight, Haye will lose and lose badly. Either way I just hope Haye steps up and fights one of them soon, because Haye isn't that active of a fighter for the past few years. He's too busy talking trash.

 

i´d really love to see huge talented fighters that always fight bums or handpicked opponents getting KTFO such as Gamboa, Haye, Bute, Khan.. entertaining or not those guys are spoilsports..

 

I only want to see him FIGHT.

That's a promoter's mentality, a showman's mentality, a bleed-the-crowd-for-as-much-as-you-can-with-as-little-risk-as-possible mentality.

Once you start worrying about what makes good theatre, about what will appeal to the audience's emotional desire instead of the truth, you've stepped away from 'sport' and 'truth' and taken the first perditious step down the road to 'showbiz' and 'fiction'.

If you want a combat sport to be run along those lines, I suggest you mosey over to the WWE, because that's what boxing will increasingly look like if the thought you're voicing becomes even more prevalent. It's already done enough damage to boxing in terrms of people ducking each other until the fight was a safer prospect. It sucks all credibility out of it in pursuit of massaging the audience's ego while at the same time cynically draining their wallets.

I just want to see the best fight the best.

There's a reason Ali's "The Greatest". It's because you could never call him a cherrypicker.
