When Pirog KO'd Jacobs, there was a lot of talk of Pirog on the forums and many that still follow him today. Is Ishida someone that we would want to see back on HBO again? Even though he isn't a KO fighter ( like his records shows ) he put up a great fight and I was entertained ( all 2 minutes of it ) . Do you expect HBO to show more Ishida? or will they just keep giving us Kirkland and Canelo?
HELL YES, bring Ishida back. HBO had no problem showing Kirkland, HBO had no problem telling us how great Kirkland was, HBO had no problem telling us how much of a killer Kirkland was..........and Ishida mutilated his ass with ease, so I don't see any reason why they shouldn't show Ishida. And in no way is ishida a light puncher. His jab was a ****ing Nuke last night, so stiff, fast and accurate, and the cause of two KD's which had Kirkland hurt BAD. He obviously has some power.
Would like to see him again, but my guess is his performance had more to do with how bad Kirkland was than how good he actually is. As always though, winners should be seen again.
If HBO were smart they'd bring him back, but they're not. So, we probably won't be seeing Ishida anytime soon unless he signs with a favored promoter.
Im so sick of people trying to justify this as Kirkland having an off night. He ****ed with the wrong guy plain and simple. Ishida wasn't some scared stiff with no skills, he was a former champion and new what he was doing in there. The bottom line is that so many people on here had such high hopes for this wanna be Tyson/Fire arm abuser, and are now trying to save face with bull**** like "oh it's Cortez fault" "oh its because he didn't have Ann Wolfe" "oh its because Ishida is radioactive"...........paleeeeeeeeeeeeeeze. ISHIDA IS SUPERIOR TO KIRKLAND.
A rematch is not wanted. Kirkland got rocked three times in one round and hasn't fought in a meaniful fight since idk when.
What is up with you? Ishida is good. Nobody is saying that he isn't. He is however a protected Japanese fighter. Anyone who watched James Kirkland knew the guy had ZERO defense and poor punch resistance. After the lay off his punch resistance looks to be negative. Ishida's record and KO percentage speaks for itself in the punch power department. The fact that JK was getting put down by jabs that even seemed to surprise Ishida is enough to say that something is up with the guy. Now we are seeing the truth. You just seem to be on a BS rant about everything BUT boxing.
If Kirkland KO'd Ishida in 2 mins of the first round would Ishida have gotten a rematch.............NO, so Kirkland shouldn't get one either.
