Do yall feel that Jones and Calzaghe would be great for boxing

Anytime there is a mega fight where non-boxing fans become interested in a fight, it's always good for boxing. The DLH/PBF fight was good for boxing.

 

It would've been great for boxing if it happened years ago. Yet, it will get casual boxing fans attention I guess.

 

this fight should have happened a few years ago.

RJJ should hang up the gloves and calzaghe should fight Pavlik and show the hardcore fans what he is made of. the RJJ fight will prove nothing due to Roy being shot

Good fight for the hard core boxing fans. The casual fan will tune in but they will be disapointed. It would not be as exciting of a fight as pavlik jc.

Of course this is good for boxing, there are soooo many Roy Haters that will tell you that RJJ is shot and yadi yadi yah.....but thats just rubbish...

Although RJJ was KO'ed twice, he was very competative in his fights. RJJ delivers action in every fight...he is one of the most popular fighters in boxing along side De La Hoya and Mayweather. This will also be in Whales infront of 50,000+ on HBO PPV. Why do you think they put B Hop on regular HBO, noone really cares to watch him because for the past 5 fights he hasnt really fought in his fights . He does that one hit/headbutt/hold combo or if thats what you want to call it.

I seen all this bull **** about Macky Shilstone & the DREAM Team he assembled. How he was feeling 28 and how he was gonna expose Calzaghe and how that Calzaghe isnt a LEGEND and how fighters in Europe are lesser fighters than those in the US and all that jibberish was put to rest last night by Calzaghe.

B Hop is a disgrace for trying to steal, cheat & fake his way to a win last night & then on top of that NOT GIVE Joe ANY credit after the fight was very tasteless by B Hop. I mean Freddie Roach every round told Hopkins that he needed to throw more than 1 or 2 punches at a time, and then in one of the late rounds he tries to trick B Hop into actually thinking he can control the fight by telling him " You need to walk him down, you are the bigger/stronger fighter"- a statement that even the HBO Crew thought was comical:rofl .

Anyways Congrats to JCC for actually coming to fight and Roy Jones Jr will come to Bang and put on a show. Its unfortunate that he doesnt have enough power to keep Roy from letting his hands go. Roy is much more versatile than B-Hop when in actually comes to putting his punches together in quick fashion. I expect a shootout:good

 

Jones vs Calzaghe would raise more money than Pavlik vs Calzaghe, so maybe Joe should be selfish for a change and take the easy fight with Jones and get himself money for his retirement, he's fought for success for too long now, and should get as much money as he can before he retires.
