What yall think? I just don't like fighters blowing up so much in weight after the weigh in. And I think 15 rounds could settle alot of scores :good

Definately thats what seperates the men from the boys. All major championship bouts should be 15 rounds (WBC, WBA, IBF). 15 rounds allows for a more decisive ending because those last 3 rounds make a huge difference. If Boxing doesn't want to go to 15 rounds again it should at least go to 13 rounds that extra round would make a big difference. Also a odd number is better than even number less likely that a draw will occur.

Maybe not mandatory but an option if the fighters desired it. I don't think anyone would choose it because no one's conditioned for it. It would be interesting to see how it would change things.

sure but for fighters fighting in the lower weight class.

  6. I Would say bring back 15 rounders too, **** if the fighters 30 years ago did it why can't the fighters of today do it???:huh it would mean less controversial decisions, and draws, and the last 3 rounds would seperate the Men from the boys...
I don't see it happening because the Police States of Boxing like Nevada and New York, make the claim that last 3 rounds make a fighter more prone to serious injury, or Death which is stupid since a lot of fighters have passed away and died in 10 and 12 round fights..

i think 12 rounds is good enough. im no boxer but ive seen alot of fighters look completely exhausted coming into that round.

as far as weight, they should keep the official weigh-in the day before so they can have time to adjust to cancellations in case a fighter cant make weight. what they should do to help against fighters that blow up too much in weight is have a second weigh-in a couple of hours before fight time. if a fighter comes in 10 pounds or more over their official weigh-in amount, they should be penalized/fined for it.

fighters who come in more then 10lbs heavier then their official weight is simply ridiculous and unfair to their opponents who naturally fight in that weight, not to mention the health risks involved for pushing themselves to be as light as possible.

i don't like the idea of same day weigh ins. if you'd do that, the whole 105 and maybe the 108 divisions would be lost. it is really hard for those guys to get down to 105 and if you weigh them on the same day, they won't have the energy to fight anymore because they are drained.

1 day before the fight weigh in works well IMO

For championship fights, should definitely be 15 rounds.

For Championship fights in a unification fight - 15 rounds.

For Championship fights against the mandatory challenger - 15 rounds. Every title holder should be forced to fight a mandatory defence every year against the No.1 challenger. No ifs, no buts!

For Championship fights in a voluntary defence - 12 rounds.

Weighing in on the day of the fight? No...bad idea because maybe you cannot make weight and they don't have time to find a replacement.

Weighing in just just like now, but you are not allowed to weigh more than the next weightlimit 1 hour before the fight...

So...if you fight at SMW and weigh in at 167.4 the day before, say, 1 hour before the fight you shouldn't weigh in at over 175.0 - the LHW limit.

Someone like Bute, for example, who fights at 168 but comes in at 182+ on the night shouldn't really fight at SMW - all that weighloss in the last couple of days is unheallthy and dangerous, long-term.

Could you imagine 15 rounds of John Ruiz v Valuev or Valuev v Chagaev?

It should be 15 rounds from MW and down. I don't think the bigger guys nowadays would handle 15 rounds. Although maybe with 15 rounds, they might actually run a little and prepare.

    Oh, yeah! This reminds me:

There should be a Super Heavyweight division - for everyone 220 and over.:good
