Well, do you guys use or teach the front pivot?

This is where you have your bodyweight over your front leg, and can feint, throw or easily escape danger by pushing off your front foot.

Floyd did it all the time, Bradley did it exclusively in his fight with JMM, T-Craw does it often, KKKov does it a lot, Ward is a master of it. So do you?

I definitely wouldn't say its the basics. Basics is stuff like shifting weight, how to throw each punch, how to move around the ring, and how to block. With most beginner, if you tried teaching that to them within the first week or two, their hooks would suffer.

Ideally you would teach footwork before ever how to throw a punch. Ground up my friend.

Some might not call it "basics" but i would certainly expect every am club to teach it to their boxers.

I said moving around the ring. If you mean the mechanics of your feet in each punch then that's apart of throwing the punch.
