No. It might be a legit excuse for a poor performance but it's not an excuse for not trying.

 

I do believe it had an effect on his performance. But he should have kept his mouth shut and taken his loss like a man.

nope not one bit..breakin his baby toe would have had no affect atall on his performance.adrenelin would have killed any pain.plus he said he took local anesthetic to the area..so no not one bit..he got a boxing lesson because he wasnt good enough..

No. However, if he had told us that he was experiencing rejection trauma due to scrotum attachment surgery I would have to give him some legitimacy.

 

fighting with a broken little toe, in my opinion, is bound to affect your movement and footwork in some way.
however, the bar for bravery in boxing has been set very high, a lot of fighters have made it through fights with far worse injury's than a broken toe.
tommy hears broke his right hand in the first round against marvin hagler and never mentioned it untill years later, because he did'nt want to take any of the credit from haglers win.
after all the crap haye was spouting in the build up to the fight, about what he was gonna do, to then lose the fight and blame it all on his little toe, it did'nt win him any fans at all.
in fact i think its made david haye a laughing stock, and he's gonna find it very hard for people to take him serious again, if he does comeback to fight vitali.
