    Do you agree with The Sun newspapers Mount Rushmore of boxing being Muhammad Ali, Roberto Duran, Ray Leonard & Ray Robinson?
    Ali was better than Leonard, Duran certainly belongs there, Robi`s offensive skillset was something else, who were that mount Rushmore of boxing in reality?

    I know everyone loves Duran, but Charles should be up there before he should. :naughty2:

    Ridiculous choices imo, but to be expected if you consider that the article may have been written by a generic sports journalist, not a boxing historian (if it was a boxing historian - he/she is a very poor one).

    The fact that names like DLH, Hopkins and Tyson are on the shortlist of 8 who quoting the article "didn't manage to make the cut" tells you all you need to know about the quality of journalism involved here. The whole article is clearly geared to the casual fan who would be familiar with "crossover" boxers.

    My personal choice of 4 would likely be, in chronological order; Langford, Greb, Armstrong, Robinson.

    Many may ask why Dempsey. If not for Dempsey I don’t believe boxing would be what it was through out history.

    Charles at #1 is literally just as arguable as Duran at #1. Moreso. Actually.

    And he is spoken about in that category. Almost every time it's brought up in fact.
