Kenny straight up disrespecting Shawn. Lil Shawn is a 30 year old man not a child. There's better ways to teach, not yell.

No I don’t! Very disrespectful. Kenny wants to be the star of the show.

I was thinking the same thing after watching the clip. Shawn saying that they know their own relationship better than anyone else, and it motivates him, but the father is way too controlling. If he's not learning the same **** you are teaching him for months, than you need to find a better approach. Maybe give him some room to learn things on his own. In this fight I see Shawn not only fighting Spence, but also his father because that type of controlling pressure has to be on the back of your mind. We will see what happens, but Spence is way to cool and precise for him. What style is Porter even going to use anyway, if he takes the fight to Spence, he'd get broken down to the body, and if he stays on the back foot, Spence will still chase him down and get him in the 2nd half.

I really think you are completely missing the point here.

Kenny Porter is doing what a trainer SHOULD be doing. He is tough and critical. He wants more. He is not satisfied and nor is he a 'yes man'. Nor is he a leeching father who see's his son as no more than a cash-cow to live off.

Kenny Porter has obviously made the choice to be tough and demanding. He wants his son to succeed and is willing to make the sacrifices. When they are in training for the biggest fight of their lives of course he will be tough and demanding. This is the role of a trainer. He is doing what any trainer should be doing. Just because Shawn is his son does not mean he should have to mollycoddle him.

When Shawn Porter retires and looks back on his career, he will 'without my father I couldn't have done anything' and 'I am so glad he pushed me' and 'I needed that'.

Kenny Porter is dropping Shawn off in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean Navy Seal style meanwhile Spence is training with his pathetic fat friends.

Shawn should be an Aaron pryor type, but hes not because hes shackled by his domineering father, hes a highly competitive fighter with bags of strength and workrate, but he aint got the killer in him.

Shawn is sloppy as s**t. He hasn't improved his technique at all. I don't see any way he even really troubles Spence other than for a few rounds. His dad made some decent points and yeah he is hard on him. But I do think Shawn would have been better off with a different trainer.
