"I think Andre Berto is an underrated opponent...he's a bigger name in this country than say a guy like Kell Brook. It's not like Amir Khan has looked recently like the way he looked several years ago. Same thing with Thurman...Berto's had a long a good career...he makes TV friendly fights," stated HBO commentator Max Kellerman, who shared his thoughts on a potential clash between undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather and former world champion Andre Berto. Check it out!

Agree, Brook is not known at all and he is being underrated since literally everyone has taken a **** on him.

Disagree, Lemieux doesn't punch much harder though, and has better speed+accuracy. Stevens has a harder time landing his punches.

Berto is a fun fighter, just its Floyd. Since Thurman and Brook still have their
"0" you can at least let yourself imagine how good they might be if they step their game up. With Berto, at his age and with known history its just harder to imagine him winning. I think he is a decent fighter really, but Floyd is not well liked so people want at least some way to imagine his losing IMO.

I agree with you on the Abel clip, Stevens problem is landing his leather vs anyone with skills. He always wants to counterpunch in a particular fashion and any upper echelon guy who doesn't give him his fav opportunity seems to win the fight as far as I can tell. He has very little ability to press the action and make an opportunity to land.

ANYONE that supports the Floyd/Berto fight in any way shape or form full of Cr@p and/or a Flo/mo. There is absolutely NO REASON why Floyd should be fighting Berto. I cant wait to see the ppv numbers on this one.

The question isn't if you support Floyd/Berto in any way shape or form, but if Berto is being underrated, or if Berto is a bigger name than someone like a Brook in the states. I swear the comprehension level for most forum members is extremely low. :patsch

Oh, and about being bigger/smaller name.. Berto is a bigger name than Brook I think.

But for a Floyd fight, I think its important to remember that it will get marketing no other fight in boxing gets. "Undefeated titleholder, unification fight" just has a nice marketing ring to it. More people probably know Berto now.. but it would be a lot easier to build a marketing campaign around Brook.

Floyd fights are different than other fights, because they actually spend 7-8 figures on marketing the fight.

:good good posts, hard to find decent posters on here that will actually try to debate in facts, instead of attacking people for being a fan of a certain guy.

Max is hoping Floyd comes back to HBO so he's lathering his ass up good. And Abel Sanchez spews out more bull**** than a manure factory, and I don't believe a ****ing thing he says. So there.:hi:

:nono, he's just speaking the truth.

And Abel has a great case. Stevens hits pretty damn hard, if Lemieux hits harder it's not by much, like I said earlier it's just the accuracy that comes down to the difference between lemieux and stevens.

N'Dam was put down 0 times by Stevens, 4 arguably 5 times by Lemieux.
Rosado put down 0 Times by Stevens and Golovkin, 1 time against Lemieux.

Sanchez has never been hit by either, therefore doesn't know what the f*** he's talking about.

Did you not read the part where I mentioned accuracy? And Rosado was put down after countless beatings and cuts that were re-opened, GGG beat a Rosado coming off a win streak, Lemieux beat a one that was beaten to death by the time he got to him, also dont ever bring up a BKB fight and compare it to a boxing one.

Well look at the bright side, soon GGG himself will be able to definitively answer the question from firsthand knowledge. And I bet he does in fact get asked.
