 I think you, like me, are such a fan of 80s fighters that you just want everyone in Tiers 1 and 2!!

The more I think of it, the more I think the re-writing of the list I did based on your suggestions was better than the original list. :fire

:dead Yawn. You know fine well I have a hard and fast policy of never answering any questions set to me by a proven racist troll. I have several reasons why I believe 100% that Michael Spinks must be in a higher tier than Evander Holyfield, but sadly you will never know them unless someone else asks me to explain it. This is the same response you will receive every time you ever ask me anything on any subject, and whenever I'm in the mood I'll also cut and paste some of the despicable comments I found in your posting history as well, to demonstrate to the thread-posters why I have zero interest in conversing with you ever.

Just accept that I think you are a piece of excrement, and will never again dignify/legitimize a stinking little internet troll who has NEVER made one decent boxing thread in his life with any debate, serious or non-serious.

    Happy Trolling! :hi:

    Ability-wise, yes. Resume/accomplishment-wise, IMO no.

I get chavez, but Hagler iss tier 1 in my opinion, if he had gotten the decision vs leonard that night he probably would have been fighter of the decade, he is one of the best boxers of the decade so tier 1 is logical then, actually all of the fab 4 are tier 1 material, duran in the 70's by your criteria and hearns is as well, I have him 1-1 with leonard, first man to stop duran, going from welter to light heavy in the 80's he only lost to barkely, leonard and went out guns blazing vs hagler.
Since Iron mike became the youngest champ in the 80's at heavy destroyed everyone on his path becoming undisputed till buster stopped it in the 90's mike deserves to be higher as well, probably pryor as well.
    Thats just my opinion though.

I think your first group is better because Chavez and Holyfield got their biggest wins in the 90's. If it was 85-95 they'd be tier 1. Also Hearns did lose his two biggest fights so T2 is good for him.

No doubt Sanchez would be T1 too had he not passed so young.

No honourable mention for Meldrick Taylor or Sumbu Kalamby?

LF - Another good thread Popkins. With this "Tiers" series, the great wins series and your other threads you're on a roll. Much better reading than the Pac fan vs Floyd fan, Haye fan vs K bro fan, euro bums/ US hype job rubbish that gets posted. Keep going.

    :yep:deal

I commend you for your honesty, and these threads are interesting.

I expect to see more threads like this, continuing with 70's 60's and then 50's etc.

Can you see no reason why Holyfield should be in tier 1?
