Do you agree with these Tiers of Greatness for 90s-00s fighters?

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this, though I have no idea why you mentioned Hopkins's 1st pro fight, has absolutely no relevance whatsoever to this discussion.

I can't, because I scored Oscar-Pea to Pea by a point, and Oscar-Ike to Ike by a point.

There was no claim that my list was comprehensive.

he's already tried that one when i dismantled him before. he cried like a baby and then said i was on his ignore list, only to chirp up the next day after his tantrum to reveal he'd lied about putting me on his ignore list.

as things stand now, i'm more or less on his ignore list anyway, because everytime i ask him a relevant boxing question in a thread, he gets all scared and defensive, refusing to answer it because he worries that i will make him look a **** again.

popkins is happy to debate with anyone he thinks he can walk all over but when he gets a tough question that will contradict his opinion, he would rather duck it, and change the topic of debate by going off on an elaborate tangent to deflect posters away from the fact that he wouldn't answer the original relevant question. these elaborate tangents generally lead to him starting a petty new thread about one small irrelevant aspect of the previous thread. this is precisely why silencer labelled popkins "a pissy little poster".

at the minute popkins kind of reminds me of floyd mayweather with the way he ducks, his solid weeks of continued cutting and pasting response to my questions is his equivalent of floyd saying "take the test". he would rather throw his whole thread into chaos than answer the relivant question posed.

lets be clear about this, i have only asked one question in this thread and it was a relivant question to the thread. if popkins/kittikasem/roskolnikov/dinamita wants to continue ducking this question in a "take the test" cut and paste frenzy, then i'd like to throw the question out to anyone else who wishes to discuss a relevant point to the thread.

Pop, the reason I made the comparison between hopkins and hoya is because you said by your cards he's only lost 1 fight which he later avenged. That is also how I see oscar during his prime.

Oh right, I get you mate. Sorry.

Well, if Oscar had won every fight other than a defeat he avenged, up until he reached mw, then I think we might be looking at someone who would rank higher than B-Hop, Floyd, maybe even Pac.

Major wins: Tito, Mosley 2, Quartey, past-prime Whitaker, Vargas
Other significant wins: Past-prime Chavez, G Hernandez, MA Gonzalez
    Losses: Mosley 1

That would have been an utterly sublime resume, by contemporary standards.

If this was the case via your cards, you could definitely have Oscar #1 on this thread, IMO.

Hence my high rating of him. His resume is quality imo. But I don't put him above tier 1 guys because he isn't consistently dominant. Even tho I have him winning them fights they're all close.

It's great how subjective boxing is and what you say about hopkins and what I say about oscar highlight that point.

    I put it, in order

    Pac
    Hopkins
    Jones
    Oscar
    Floyd

So he doesn't look out of place in tier 1 imo, providing you scored those fights in his favour.

So Calzaghe is in Tier 4 although he beat two Teir 1 fighters?

Lewis is too low as well

You have to expect this from Popkins or one of his many alts. He cant stand the fact that Calzaghe beat Hopkins
