    Cheers man.

No the list was not meant to be comprehensive, I do note that in the first post.

Also, Norris won his first title in the 90s for sure.

    Ta for the comments :good

Got to go by the official cards otherwise you just get fan boys giving any close fight to their guy.

And on the Lewis/Hopkins debate- no way Lewis would have dropped 2 decisions to a fighter on Taylor's level at HW.

Of course, he lost to Jackson in 89 - my mistake!!

Here's a question, would Hatton be deserving of a place in the lowest tier??

on the flipside, no way Hopkins would be KTFO by fighters of Oliver's, and Rahman's level at ANY weight he contested at.

you put langford ahead of lewis at heavyweight :yikes

i believe langford is one of the most underrated heavyweights of all time but i can't put him in my top 10 (currently at number 16).

how do you justify langford > lewis as a heavyweight?

realised i never actually commented on how you split them.

i mentioned my premonition based ranking of wlad earlier so i'll leave that out.

i'd swap marquez and lopez. move norris up 1 tier. seems good all in all tho! :good

I do think Rosendo is underrated and hes been one of the better little guys in recent years.. IMO a HOF someday.

However your wrong about Mccallum and Nunn... Only washed up version was the 3rd fight,,,,In the 1st and 2nd Mccallum (although 35) was still an elite fighter and no more ancient than Sergio Martinez, Mccallum really hadnt slipped much if at all. .. Same with Michael Nunn,at the time he was regarded as the 2nd best pfp. for the last couple years it was prime Tyson,Chavez,Nunn who were regarded as the best in boxing, when TYson was knocked off a few monhts before Chavez was number 1 and Nunn 2. He was never the same again but that was after the fact..,, Big upset and great win for Toney,

That's not how I do my threads. I don't see the sense in proceeding as if a fight was a win when I don't believe it was. That's just lying/pretending, I'm not into it, never will be.

Dropping two razor-thin decisions at aged 40 is nowhere near as damaging as getting knocked out early twice in and close to your prime.

No. Resume not deep/strong enough IMO.

There's not much to say to this Luf, I think the lists you provided underline the fact that Lewis's resume is significantly stronger, therefore I place him significantly higher, especially considering I believe Lewis would've knocked Wlad out in brutal fashion and was a clearly superior all-round fighter. Most definitely different tiers IMO.

For a start, Langford's wins over Tiger Flowers and Harry Wills at heavyweight are both light years ahead of any of Lewis's wins.

:good Agree with both opinions., i dont even consider the judges scorecards when my mind and my eyes tell me different. Thats lying to yourself and, and to what you see and believe in.

Hopkins is clearly above Lennox.. Dont know what that joker is talking aobut.... More or less Lennox was in his prime in those losses, where he was :dead... Can u imagine that happening to a MW Hopkins during his reign? Would be the equivelant of getting stretched in his defenses against say Andrew COuncil,Howard Eastman guys who pfp were on par with Mccall,Rahman... And guys who were beat up or convincingly beat.. Hopkins would never get stretched by guys like that, not even a 46 year old version.

The whole issue over whether to go with the official cards or your own cards is something I've never understood, and never will. How the hell am I meant to decide on the value of a win, if I don't even believe it was a win? :nut All I can do is give my own opinion, I can't give the opinions of others and pretend they are my own.

And re Lewis/Hopkins, I agree with you, I already posted a list of reasons why I rank Hopkins clear of Lewis, should be a page or so back. :good

Looks right for sure, I kinda like the tier system, good perspective. And to the cat that said Popkins is a joke, I may disagree with him sometimes but a joke he ain't, cat knows his ****.
