you feel so threatened by the questions i pose in your threads that you would rather spend all day destroying them in a cut and paste frenzy, than answer a question that is relevant to the thread :patsch

what you scared of popkins? why can't you bring yourself to quickly answer the question and allow the thread to develop, rather than bring it to a stand still with the frenzied cut and pasting that will result in no-one wanting to debate in it?

crying to the mods won't help you popkins, they can see straight through what you do, that for weeks i have asked legitimate, relevant boxing questions to you in threads, and that you have continually ducked the boxing questions i've asked by going off into a cut and paste tangent in a bid to deflect from the fact that you didn't answer the relevant question i asked.

the mods arn't stupid, they know you have mulitple alter ego accounts like kittikasem, dinamita, and roslinikov. they only have to look through your posts yesterday to see that you were posting pictures of mentaly handicapped children into your debates in a disgusting attempt to try and provide humour.

for all the weeks of cutting and pasting you 've done in response to any legitimate question i ask, not one person has commented on it, no one gives a **** about your cutting and pasting popkins, all you are showing is that you are not man enough to debate with me on the relivant boxing questions that i have posed in your thread.

now are you man enough to debate the relevant question i posed in this thread or are you so scared that you will continue to carry on in your cut and paste frenzy in a bid to deflect from the fact that you are ducking a relevant question again?

Ah right, it was following a very similar course to my own order with a tweak here and there.

It would take some real time and thought to work out a solid order for the tiers. And I can't really be arsed. The whole point of using a tier system is that you don't need to work out a one-by-one order. (ie, the reason for this thread is that I'm lazy when it comes to ATG fighter rankings)

popkins, I respect all the effort and thought youve put into this list but I just think Lewis is more deserving of tier 1.

Prime for Prime (and even when not in prime) Lewis's resume is just simply better than Hopkin's, he not only dominated most of his opppnents, but TKO/KOed alot of big names.

He beat everyone there was to beat (something Hopkins couldnt do) , avenged his losses (something Hopkins didnt do) and retired at the right time. Thats the deciding factor, in my book. You can talk about Hopkin's win over Pascal all you like, fact is, Lewis was just more dominating and achieved alot more in his career at a time when the heavyweight division was ripe.

I'm sure he isn't aware of duran during the 70's. Thinks he's just some 80's welterweight in his head lol.

Yeah not to mention tyson as well. Should be good that man, look forward to it. Still think you should include the 70's also :)

I respect your opinion. Here is my reasoning for having Hopkins above Lewis, you can tell me what you think of each point (if you have any interest in doing so):

OK. Valid argument you put forward, heres my response:

If I understand correctly, Hopkins lost his first fight, therefore Im guessing not many people can past judgement on whether he lost unfairly etc. Also, I question your judging skills if you think Hopkins beat/drew against Calzaghe and the 2nd Taylor fight.

Also, you cant argue that Hopkins best wins were better than Lewis's best wins because, simply, they aren't.

I forgot to add that Lewis' reign as undisputed champ was longer and he beat better names during that time.

This along with my other points justifies Lewis spot for tier 1 (in my opinion).

Im sorry if I come across as rude, Im abit hungover.

oh and I accept that Hopkins' inside game is brilliant, and hard to think of anyone better. But to say he has an all round better tool set than Lewis is pushing it. Also Lewis had power.

Pop, your view of hopkins mirrors my view on oscar and it makes a huge difference in how these guys are rated.

Put yourself in a position were young believe oscar won all his fights south of middleweight, bar mosley which he would avenge. And then past prime he pushed floyd to the limit and shot he stayed on his feet against pac.

I guess what i'm saying is, if you believed oscar had beaten quarty, pea, mosley 2 and tito, just hypothetically speaking, how would you rate oscar then?

hey Headbanger and Popkins why don't you put each other on ignore? jesus christ.

    my list:

    Tier One

Manny Pacquiao, Roy Jones Jr, Bernard Hopkins, Floyd Mayweather Jr

    Tier Two

James Toney, Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera

    Tier Three

Oscar De La Hoya, Felix Trinidad, Shane Mosley, Juan Manuel Marquez

    Tier Four

Winky Wright, Kostya Tszyu, Joe Calzaghe, Ricardo Lopez, Lennox Lewis

only a few minor adjustments to your list. someone like Mark Johnson was better than all the guys at tier four IMO. not to mention Sahaprom, Konadu etc.
