Do you agree with this quote from Andre Dirrell ?

Although you are right in many points of this post, there a re few things Id like to point out. Let me preface this with the fact that although I had dirrell winning, it should not be considered a robbery. Your idea of ring generalship is off, just because a guy chases another guy does not constitute ring generalship. Froch was made to look clumsy, clueless and amateurish the way he simply plodded after dirrell. It was not r.g. same can be said for effective aggression as there was nothing effective about it.

All that being said, in my eyes, dirrell and his team are to blame for the way they fought. It was a horrible fightplan. He may have realized by now, but who nows. I could care less. I'm liking him less and less.

The way I also see it is that it seems that the media and fans cannot really point to anything that Froch did that nite to actually win the fight. They point to what dirrell did to lose the fight. To me that shows they are more interested in punishing dirrell than for rewarding froch for a job well done. I think it wrong because the reponsibility for punishing dirrell lays with the ref who I thought did a **** job that nite.

 

It was a crap fight and Dirrell was disgraceful. If he had of been given the decision it would of set a shocking president of how to win a world title. You dont dive on the floor to avoid being hit or run round the ring for nearly 12 rounds, like an olympic sprinter.

I was embarresed for boxing after watching that fight.

 

Can't really argue with that. Scoring the fight, I thought he outpointed froch, but it would have been a controversial win at best. Close fight, shouldn't be classified as a robbery.

 

Horrible fight. If Dirrell ran from Froch like that what's he going to do against AA?

I had Dirrell winning by 2 rounds, but cant call it a complete robbery. I would like to address all of you guys complaining about "running". The game is to hit and not get hit. Thats boxing. If you wanna see two brutes slug it out, go watch a tuffman contest, or better yet, go watch ufc. Cant believe people are calling Dirrell out for boxing beautifully, I would like to call out the euro fans in the arena for getting upset because their guy couldnt catch Dirrell to hit him. Its almost like in Tee ball as a kid, the parents want the ball right there so the kid can hit it. The fans that night got upset because Dirrell wouldnt stand still so their guy could hit him, I was like wtf?

 

Your whole intent was to revive something that is past tense.
He lost. Wasn't a robbery and only he himself is the cause of the loss.

Exactly. American fighters seem to think they hve some kind of divine right to fight in the USA. The whole thing with Ward not having to travel is a ****ing joke. If i was fighting Ward last in the super 6 group stage, i'd insist he fought in the uk/germany/wherever just to **** the cry-baby off.

Yea, and Froch really showed how you keep a world title......by rabbit punching, body slamming, swinging at air, and getting punched in the face....If Dirrell is such a disgrace then Froch is too.
