I personally think canelo is scared of golovkin like every other fighter in and near his division bar Lara but I think he's just using golovkins name to gain a fan base just like Shannon Briggs when he calls out other top heavyweights knowing damn well he has no business stepping in the ring with any of them. I think canelo does fight golovkin but it won't be until he's slowed down significantly, and golovkin already being 34, that won't be long. What do you assheads think?

    Discuss.

Yes he will when ggg is 37/38 and on the decline. Not long now.

No, not happening in my opinion, the longer this goes on without an agreement the harder it will be to make.

But I expect Hopkins to start pushing for it hard if Golovkin is about to beat his record though

Nope. Not in the next 5 years anyway. One day a 35 year old Canelo will be doing a Shannon Briggs on old man Golovkin trying to land a fight so he can put an end to being classed as a chicken ducker for years and years.

Does a leopard change its spots? Is it possible to develop a spine and ***** in your late 20s?

Canelo will never fight decent opposition ever again. Lets put it this way, I am pretty sure his hand wraps are made of fishnets.

    I'm not so sure

Recent examples that did: Haye vs Klitschko and Mayweather vs Pacquiao

Recent examples that did not: Gamboa vs Lopez and Kovalev vs Stevenson (not necessarily over)

this time of boxing is marked by fights that take too long to actually occur and finalize

    my questions

do either lose in the next 2 years? if Golovkin loses does Canelo see this as an opportunity to fight him post defeat or to avoid having to face him all together?

does Canelo go to the 160 limit or not? he has plenty of marketable fights without Golovkin

    does Golovkin eventually move up?

if Golovkin scoops up the WBO he then has the 4 belts, if Canelo wants to hold titles at 160 he would have to face Golovkin

if he doesnt fight a top middle the RING strips him

my thoughts are if both dont lose for 3 years and Golovkin wears all the hardware (like Wlad he will fight mandos and keep belts) Canelo will have no other option unless he just decides to just be a second tier fighter at 160

It all depends on how Canelo does against a real MW at 160

Wtf are you talking about? Why would any fighter drain himself for someone in the same division? GGG will hold hostage the mw division for the next 10 years, no need to go up. If you fks want to see a champion at mw not named GGG you should fkg ask your heroes to find some and get in the ring with him

He has never given us boxing fans a reason not too believe him. So yes, I'm sure they will fight, likely in 2017.

    This is also true.

GGG doesn't HAVE to face him, but it is up to GGG if he wants to accept Canelo's terms for GGGs biggest, richest, possibly most important fight.
