Do you believe either Arturo Gatti or Sonny Liston were murdered?

Lord Lucan was a guy who killed his kids nanny, mistaken for his wife and went on the run. His body was never found and he's been spotted supposedly all over the world.
The Marie Celeste, and I believe that's the correct spelling, was a ship found floating with no one aboard, every one had vanished in to thin air. Lots of story's as to what actually happened but it's a mystery.

I don't know the circumstances of Gatti, but outta nowhere? Liston, sure he was too tied up with shady forces and they saw no more need for him. Could he have gone through depression and say "F" it? yeah a chance. But Valero was on the rise & died in a kind of offshoot prison that makes the worse of American prisons look like a stay at a crummy motel.
His life was on the rise, words about him meeting a clash with Pac. Questioned on his nation's leader - he went out of his way to show his support & tattoed this man on his chest. And when he won...his corner had a habit of trying to cover it, place his belt or a tshirt on.

 

Never heard of Lucan but since you’re a English guy, Ferguson I thought he must be some brit that was well known to the rest of the world but the first famous one I thought of was the guy that D I ck Van Dyke played in Mary Poppins.

yeah I’ve kinda heard about the Marie celeste.some kind of ghost ship but thought you might have meant someone actually called Marie celeste because what in holy hell does a ghost ship have to do with Liston and gatti being murdered?

I really believe that Sonny Liston was given a Hot Shot to keep him quiet about the two fights with Muhammad Ali, and maybe the Leotis Martin fight in Dec 1969. There may have been a reason that the late Yank Durham avoided a possible fight with his fighter, Smokin Joe Frazier vs Sonny Liston at that time, there was talk about it if I remember, before the ill fated Martin fight. Arturo Gatti was murdered by his wife, that is what the circumstances point to.

So the Mob clips one of the most known public figures in Hoffa, make him vanish......and Hoffa had power, influence and connections up to the highest level in Politics....

Now organized crime is creating some complicated scheme to get rid of a washed up Boxer with zero pull who was a doper and alkie.......Liston would have simply gone missing too if they had a beef with him or just whack him in plain sight, its not like Liston was a house hold name or big shot at that time. Nobody would have cared if he was whacked /vanished.....and nobody cared when he OD'd.....and nobody cared when he was the Champ, sad story.

Conclusion: Liston OD's, drugs and alcohol took heir toll , he was old and his heart said F it. happens all the time.

Gatti suicide totally drunk, high on pills and mentally down, happens all the time too.
