Do you believe Futch who says Burley had flattened Robinson in the gym?

Doesn't seem to be any proof of any kind other than Futch's account.

How many on here or anywhere else would have said the same thing, if they saw Burley flatten Sugar Ray Robinson in the gym? I dare say 90 percent?

I don`t read anything regarding a sparring session about Burley and Robinson but I do recall Futch telling a story about his fighter {Jimmy Edgar} who was a good middleweight who was in the Army with Sugar Ray and Joe Louis.

According to Futch Sugar Ray was too quick for Edgar and Jimmy just couldn`t lay a glove on him but as the sessions went on he gained confidence and eventually knocked Robinson down.

I doubt it ever happened, SRR was under a microscope and Burley was a great fighter but no one was owning SRR in his prime...128-1-1

I've read two Burley bios and I don't recall this coming up.

Never heard of this assertion, and I've seen a couple of interviews with Futch.
I don't believe they ever sparred.
