Do you believe in karma, Rodel Mayol?

Within that second that the head butt happened, Sosa's head traveled more than Mayol. It looks accidental to me.

Yeah, it's there. Kid's hurt bad and is on his way to the ER. Drop the unnecessary hate guys, we're fans of this sport and he is a participant. **** happens.

    I'm defending Mayol's rep here.

He's never had a reputation of being a dirty fighter, in all the years he's fought in the Asia-Pacific boxing circuit.

He's not a nasty inside operator. He's an outside boxer-puncher.

I think those Calderon headbutts are just bad match up styles/freak accidents.

If you wanna see dirty and borderline illegal, look for Czar Amonsot and a couple other Filipino brawlers.

Mayol has always been sportsmanlike and classy.

I don't know how you can't see Sosa jumping in. Mayol lands the head but only because Sosa jumps in this is why its accidental he isn't even looking at Sosa, its a clash of heads and Sosa came off worse.

They both are going forward but it's pretty obvious Mayol is the one charging with his head. I'm still wondering why you can't see that even in slow-mo!:huh

In Mayol-Sosa, Mayol was CLEARLY intentionally leading with his head. Even if his intent wasn't to headbutt, fighting like that made a butt inevitable.

regardless, that fight should have been stopped there and ruled a TD.

Agreed! Sosa should have made a decision to not continue. Given that he decided to continue, he must have thought he was ok.

  11. Fighters hit after the break all the time, dumbass. And they don't get DQ'd. As I said, learn boxing.

  12. It's not Romero's job TO pause if he hits the guy low...it is the ref's job to intervene. And, how do we know that Romero heard the ref at all? Maybe it was loud as hell in there and let's not forget that that the ref was BEHIND him so maybe that made it more difficult to hear him. Also, it's much easier for a fighter to follow a ref's instructions when he is in the fighter's line of vision.

The question with the Mayol/Sosa fight is...Who was winning prior to the headbutt?

There was only 2 complete rounds:patsch

A better question is why Sulaiman overruled the ref so quick?

Did it have anything to do with Mayol's B.S. that he would'nt get a fair shake in Mexico!:think
