Do you believe Kovalev is a serious threat to Hopkins?

    He's a fighter I'd expect Hopkins to avoid at this stage. I'm not a fan of Hopkins at all but we saw how he dealt with Pavlic, that was impressive. I just hope there is no play acting (Calzaghe, RJJ 2, Dawson 1 etc) and the fight is fair and proper.

    If Kovalev can find him he beats him. If Hopkins has studied Kovalev I think he may be smart enough to get off a few shots per round and make Kovalev miss a lot and coast to a UD.

    I'm surprised that there are still so many naive peoples that let themself caught up by nothing more than promotional hype.

    Kovalev has faced nobody, and beat tomato cans. He has a suspect chin, too. But, hey, "he looked SO good in crushing tomato cans!", no, not even that.

    Of course he is. Not only does he have excellent power he also has a very good punch out put which should be the main concern for Hopkins.

    Excellent fight.

    The only person to beat Bernard Hopkins is Old Father Time. He cannot go on for ever.

    The only play acting in Hopkins-Calzaghe was done by Calzaghe trying to imitate a fighter but slapping like a girl. Slappy knew he didn't deserve that win. He beat Jones fair & square. As for Dawson he should have been DQ'd for MMA or WWE tactics which let to Bernards injury
    If Bernards fights had all been fair & square his only losses were Jones jr 1 & Dawson II. He was screwed in the others

    What happened to Hopkins being afraid of Kovalev and "Kovalev would destroy him"? Now you're making excuses and the fight hasn't even happened yet. :think
