Any one who believes he doesn't watch tapes or go in with a strategy is an idiot.

I also think that this is what sparring is for if you get the right guys to spar with you and simulate how the other guy fights why would you need tapes?

It makes sense that he doesn't watch tapes. His style isn't one that requires it. He basically fights from the outside peppering fighters with jabs and hard straights. Once he gets comfortable with you, he will stand in the pocket and bang. Now Paul Williams he may have to watch some film, hahaha.

I think he is a fan and watches fights. So he knows the styles of all of the fighters he ever goes up against. Does he lock himself in a room with a notepad, his coach, and a stack of a fighter's last 20 fights? I doubt it.

@Rooney - Judah gave him by far the hardest first 3-4 rounds of any one of those fighters you mentioned. He even gave him a flash knock down that was counted as a slip. Oscar never mounted any significant offense. He got a gift judges card. Watch the fights again.

well see i believe in floyds greatness and he say he is....but i just dont think anybody is that great on a professional level to sit infront of a man you never watched on tape and get in there and beat him especially the way floyd fights its not like he knocking everybody out he beating them technically
