Do you believe Otto Wallin was a top 10 heavyweight in the world ?

It definitely doesn't. But the fact is Wallin was seen as a credible opponent and a potential banana skin at the time.

 

That's why you said Wallin had advantages over AJ in everything between size and power? LOL.

 

Here's a thread here most people were happy with the fight at the time with some people believing Wallin had a chance of the upset.

The people picking Joshua predicted a UD and not a stoppage.

Its easy for people to say what they want to say now but thats not what they were saying at the time which was Wallin was considered a potential stumbling block for Joshua.

And i think people forget that this fight was supposed to lead to a big showdown vs Wilder but Wilder lost to Parker.

Comfortably beat a couple of 15-20-rated guys in Breazeale and Gassiev, so could've been around top 10 at his very best, but didn't do anything to really assert his place in the top 19 at any point.

 

Some poeple just like to deny reality out of pure hate, lol. The receipts are there tho.

 

I myself thought it would be a tougher fighter than it originally turned out to be.

Remember at this time Joshua was still kind of on the comeback trail and Wallin was Joshua's best opponent in some time.

Wallin had gave Fury a very tough fight and had a solid win over Gassiev which could age better considering Gassiev is considered a top 10 Heavyweight right now.

With hindsight Wallin wasn't as good as what people initially thought but that's not the point.

At the time Wallin was considered a solid opponent for Joshua and a fringe top 10 Heavyweight.

And that pretty much answers the question.

Nothing suggests Gassiev is top 10 though
