It's coo. Mayweather-Cotto seems to be everyone's dream fight. I never knew why.

I remember marg being very vocal about wanting to fight Floyd, I give him his props for that. I remember Cotto keeping Floyd's name out of his mouth.

back in 2008 cotto just beat mosley while floyd beats hatton. cotto keeps on fighting the best of welter while floyd retired. it was the biggest fight not only in welter but in the whole of boxing back then just like floyd-pac is now. in both cases, floyd took a vacation.

    I'd say no.

But you can bet that if Pac beats Floyd, people will say "Even Roach said Floyd's legs were gone"

like they do for every other Pac fight.

Its weird, he seems to me to have some intangibles to give Floyd problems, like the jab, the patience, pressure, but he's almost too patient, and his foot-speed is too slow.

Mayweather would probably take advantage of that patience and slow footspeed, by being able to get off first. In theory you would imagine it could look somewhat like the Bruseles fight, although Cotto is a much much better version of Bruseles.

I would still like to see that fight though.

How do you think Cotto's glass face or sensitive skin stands up to Mayweather's precision? It didn't take much for Floyd to open up a cut on Hatton.

Roach said Pac would get Hatton out in 3 in the lead up to their fight, only right before the fight people forget he said that he did'nt expect Pacquiao to take him out in 3, stating that Ricky is a tough guy etc, only he did'nt fess up when Merchant made him out to be the oracle in the post fight interview, figures:lol:

Well I think a lot of Cotto's defensive issues owe a lot to the stance he adopts, which Steward is no correcting, which there were signs of in the Foreman fight imo.

Man!, I think Ricky cuts more than Gatti Lol, infact at one point in his career he started leaning his head to the one side in the clinches so not to let the guys head rub in his face through fear of getting cut.

How do we know for sure if he's only had two fights in 3 years. Marquez and Mosley fights he didn't have to use his legs. Though I can see how everyone thinking he would run from Mosley and because he actually pressed the fight it can be seen as him having to chance his gameplan as a result of having lost something in his movement. Nazim Richardson said it before the fight though that Shane would release the monster in Floyd and that's exactly what happened.

Of course not... its just Roach trying a little reverse psychology on Floyd no doubt... he knows in his heart that Floyd beats Manny all day long but he`d rather try make Floyd fight using a lot of movement & countering aka his legs as opposed to humiliate Pac by beating his ass in the same manner he beat Mosely by coming forward & breaking his heart.

That way Freddie can say nothing about he defeat but if FMJ uses a lot of movement & doesnt engage, Roach can say `well, we tried to fight for the people & make it exciting but Floyd does what he does best, he`s a boring fighter, we have nothing to be ashamed of`

I can read Fredrick like a book
