    No.

But he does fight more stationary and that should be expected, he's almost 34.

he is not moving like he used to. that's for sure. maybe it's age. maybe it's strategy. if he was moving laterally, then he probably wouldn't have been blasted by that big right hand from shane, so that would be a bold strategy........

They're not gone, but he's slowing visibly in the footspeed and movement departments. Not surprising in the least - he's aging.

I'll agree that he is older now and had a retirement and is very inactive so i think he has slowed down

but gone is too much he still has the legs just not as much as pre retirement

I went back and watched Mosley/Mayweather recently to see what Roach was talking about, saying that Mayweather was losing his legs and that's why he was forced to fight in the pocket. Other posters on ESB are claiming that Mayweather is passed his prime, largely on this assumption too. Here's what I realized on recent viewing. Mayweather's legs are there, he was implementing a Winky Wright style for his Mosley fight, staying in front of Mosley but behind a high guard. Mayweather's performance was masterful. He is indeed at the top of his game. Mayweather stayed in the pocket because he knew he had Mosley's style down.

He doesn't have the legs of his SFW/LW prime, no - but his legs aren't altogether "gone" like those of Cory Spinks or even Ivan Calderon.

Like his offense, his legs are not as dynamic as they where in the 130 -135 days. But like his offense, his legs are far more technical and efficient now.

Look at the Mosley fight. He made smaller yet effective lateral movements. He leaped back only when he absolutely needed to. This allowed PBF to stay in the pocket and keep the pressure on Mosley while without compromising his defense at all.

Yes, he does not bounce left and right as much but his technical prowess allows him to.
