It seems logical to suggest Tyson knew he was out of his league and avoided Foreman like a model avoids carbs.

Just because Fury said he could beat a prime Foreman and it didn't happen doesn't mean he ducked him. Foreman, let alone prime Foreman, was long retired by the time Fury came along.

Tyson wasn't a glass jawed former LHW, I think "prime" Tyson, would have been too much for old Foreman to handle. I do think Foreman would have hung in there though. Would have been interesting to see.

It took Foreman 10 rounds to get rid of glass chinned Moorer, no way would he get rid of Tyson at any point. If he did land Tyson could take it,Tyson wins a wide UD.

How do you sell a fight between Tyson vs an old relic like Foreman who at the time (1990 ish) hadnt even fought a top 10 guys.

    Simple economics.

PS - watch Foreman vs Alex Stewart. Then watch Tyson vs Stewart.

just because one fighter avoids or "ducks" another, does'nt mean that he's afraid of being beat.
the foreman fight would be a big payday for tyson, but would be a lose, lose situation for mike. foreman was seen by the american public as old, fat and slow.
if tyson beat him up bad, or quick, the fight would be seen as a joke and a freak show, there's nothing to be gained from it, also foreman could REALLY BANG, and there's always the risk tyson could end up on the end of one of them shots.
if i was tyson, i may have avoided foreman myself, makes sense.

The Tyson with head and lateral movement would definitely have given it a go. The stalking brawler Tyson I think would be ko'd by big george.

It is well known that Tyson wanted no part of Foreman.

Tyson was tailor made for Foreman, it would be 4 rounds or less before old fat Foreman brutally knocked out Tyson.
