Do you blame Mike Tyson for biting Evander Holyfield's ear?

Warning bites are the way forward approach.

I really wanted to hear what Mike had to say after "Hammerhead" left Rahman looking like a hammerhead shark. The fact is that butts do win fights, whether "accidental," or "accidentally, on purpose.":wall

I'm going to write a letter to Mr Suliman, asking if warning bites can become part of the criterea when scoring a fight.

You've apparently not heard of the WBC International Ruby Bronze Biting Belt for when elite fighters bite each other to victory. Golota was recently made the inaugural champ for no apparent reason.

I don't condone what Tyson did to Holyfield or biting a chunk out of any opponent for that matter.

Atthe same time, I don't condone the HolyHeadButt that Mills Lane practically turned a blind eye to in that fight. Tyson was unfairly labelled the bad guy in this matchup, and in some ways by his own doing and reputation he created.

Holyfield was smart and knew what he could get away with albeit with dirty tactics as well.

Lane could not turn a blind eye to the bias of bald man's pride, my friend.

Good stuff. Tyson was always a student of boxing, and I think he really loved to fight, whereas Holyfield presented more of a mental battle/battle of wills. I think this is a big part of why Tyson got so frustrated with him. You can just feel Tyson's frustration in the air watching the fights.

yes I do. and I don't care If Holyfield was butting him (I think he did it by accident), I truly think that biting someones war off is 10x more sick then headbutting...

Just have to quote my main man here: "He certainly did used to make the fellows he fought hate boxing. That's why he hated Kid Lewis so. He never got the Kid's goat. Kid Lewis always had about three new dirty things Jack couldn't do."

Great post, Tyson entered the ring as a mental timebomb and those cuts were way more than he could handle. In no way do I condone his animalistic retaliation, however I do wonder; If Mills Lane had deducted a point from Holyfield for butting, instead of claiming it was unintentional, would he have stopped doing so?

Tyson was in great shape for this fight, he had trained hard and was there mentally and Holyfield buts him and ruined everything, I always have understood why he did it, in my mind I feel he was treated unfairly.

I have started to wonder why Holyfield is such a loved man in boxing, he has several children out of wedlock and a connection to use of illegal performance enhancing drugs,, he ahs always sounded a bit like an ******* to me.
