Just wondering what peoples thoughts were. I like AJ but I won't be buying it. The ring call out was so manufactured, and Whyte simply isn't good enough to beat AJ.

Fury or Wilder next. If AJ is the money fight surely he can offer one of them more than they are likely to make if they were to rematch.

What I do know is if it happens then the PPV numbers will be crazy high.

It was apparent the football hooligan fans want the Whyte fight over Wilder, from the jeers I heard. Uncultivated chumps, they'll for be screaming for Price to have his shot next. And the bodybuilder will go along with it!

It’ll do the numbers. In fairness it’s a good fight, but it’s testament to Joshua that it’s another scalp that he’s already got, hence the reason some aren’t fussed about another fight. But people will pay, regardless.

Hopefully Wilder sees the light, and agrees to fight.

British PPV numbers need to be taken with a grain of salt. 60 vs 20 is huge if Wilder Fury 2 is 20 it would do crazy numbers as well

Yep. Its not the fight we all want, its not even the fight Joshua wants but we are clearly not getting the fight we want so this is a perfectly good substitute as far as i can see. 1st fight was decent and wasnt 1 way traffic and both have improved so we should get another decent fight.

I don't think so. I'd pay for Joshua vs Wilder, Fury or Usyk.

Well, I'll pay if they are sub £20. But I get the feeling AJ vs Wilder or Fury is when we'll see the £20 barrier broken in the UK. Hearn has been building up to it for a while.

Their first fight did 420K PPV buys and Whyte did more than that now vs Parker.

It's pretty clear whether hardcore fans like us buy it or not this fight will be a huge financial success. Your talking about 2 Brit heavies who are proven PPV draws, who are 1-1 with Whyte winning in the amateurs and Joshua winning in the pros. Whyte and Joshua also clearly don't like each other much the first fight did little to resolve their animosity towards one another.

I expect it to do 1.5 mill buys at the very least, might be a new PPV record.

    Yes.

It is 2 of the top HWs with local rivalry from a similar area. I think it would sell and would buy it.

I can guarantee that when the promotion starts and it shows Joshua losing as an amateur and they highlight the best parts of their first fight and add a bit of tension to make it look like it was far more even, then an intense gloves are off episode and casual fans will suddenly buy it as well

To be honest, I always decide after the undercard is announced. I thought the whole Whyte Chisora fight wasn't worth it especially as the Frampton card was much more appealing, but I doubt I would have got it anyway. I probably will get this one.

I will be buying. £20 for a night of good boxing is value for money. Would spend a fortune if I was out on a night out. Should be a good tear up while it lasts. It will likely do a million buys and net AJ another £15m payday before he fights in America. Yes he would earn more for Wilder but can’t see them letting Wilder fight in UK as showtime needs PPV to stay in business.
