Can't get over a differing opinion, can you? Ruddock was not a chinny guy. He may not be a Chuvalo or a McCall, but he did not have a weak chin.

Ruddock didn't have a bad chin but fought in a reckless manner often. that smash thing he threw left him open.he fought in a increasingly reckless stile as his career progressed looking for big shots rather than using his jab which was good earlier in his career. exciting but risky.

I think he thinks old Foreman & Demsey is the OP as he has shown far more interest in it than you, than anyone else or, indeed, than is healthy. Relax, dude. You're the victim of mistaken identity.

Wouldn't say weak but it was far from iron.

I think his chin was okay. The Smith knockdown was weird, it seemed like the punch landed in the back of his head.

He took some very hard shots from Tyson, to his credit he got up from all the knockdowns. I still think the hardest shot he took was the bodyshot he took in the 10th round of their rematch.

What do you think of Gil Clancy's view on how Ruddock took Tyson's punches?

Is the Pope Catholic? Ruddock had a shaky chin, no question. Worst glass jaw of all time? Well, no - but he wasn't exactly George Chuvalo either.

Ruddock could be buzzed, and when buzzed he was all over the place. I remember Weaver hitting him with a left hook early in his career and for a second he looked gone, but he had tons of guts and came back to beat Weaver.

Smith was an OX and the punch he hit Ruddock with knocked him sideways but once again Razor rose and knocked out Smith in the 7th.

Dokes shook Ruddock early with a hook before Razor nearly killed him in the 4th.

Everyone knows he took BOMBS from Tyson and STILL went 12 with a broken Jaw!!! no WAY was his chin glass, he was a wild swinging slugger most of the knockdowns he suffered were counter punches after he'd just missed with one of his own bombs.. Razor believed he'd get you eventually and he was willing to take chances because he believed in his power.

That first Lewis right the one where Ruddock basically just laid his head out there for Lewis would've dusted damn near anyone..

Everything post Lewis in my opinion is irrelevant as he was done at that point.
