It seems it gets mentioned always in the ''gift decision'' type discussions but to me Ali won it fair and square.
I struggle to give Jones more than 3 rounds when scoring it.Just don't see it.
Also the crowd reaction might have been caused by Jones being a NY fighter fighting in NY.

    What do you say?:think

I recall Ali being stunned by righthands several times, while Doug Jones was only hurt once in the fight.

    No..
But it was very very close, and I wouldn´t have any problem with Jones winning.....

Have any of ever seen a FULL version of this fight????

I love Jones and can´t stand Clay, but there were only one winner and it was not Doug Jones.
By the way have a look at Jones record - Not that good, agree?

Cheers. The results appear as lopsided as Frank predicted.

    More unimpressive than controversial.

Judges Farnk Forbes and Artie Aidala (who also was a judge at the FOTC)
    both had it 5-4-1.

Referee Joe LoScalzo had it 8-1-1.

Sonny Liston who was at ringside, said that he was not impressed with
Cassius Clay, but thought he did enough to win.

I think a Draw would have been a fair enough evaluation.
More like,,,,,,,, 'No Harm, No Foul'.
