Do you consider Ali's win over Doug Jones controversial?

Yeah, according to the dictionary definition, you were definitely right to vote the way you did

And like I say, you could put together a Jones card.

Yet very few seem to do so, in this day from the film.
And a much larger proportion of observers at ringside seemed to, at the time.

Makes you wonder what people would really say if Marciano-LaStarza 1 existed on film, or even Louis-Walcott 1 in its entirety.

More people scored for Ali than not then, the judges scored for Ali, more people score for Ali now. Not a huge deal really.

Including the judges and the AP card, and the sample of 15 other ringside boxing writers.

    Of those 19 persons ...

    10 scored for Ali
    6 for Jones
    3 had a draw

    Yeah, no huge deal.
But far fewer here will say they actually score it a Jones win, or even a draw. I think.
To find 9 people who positively score it other than an Ali win would require a much larger sample, I believe, even with internet anti-Ali nuts included.
    Or maybe I'm wrong.
