Do you consider boxing to be a noble aristocratic sport?

I wish people would revive jousting to popularity too.

Ball sports are boring kids games. I'm only interested in blood sports.

I respect all sports. I love football (soccer) for the tactical aspect of developing the optimal formations and tactics for 11 men to kick the ball together properly. I always respected the coaches more than the players in a way. I think some of the great coaches are really great tactical minds and really intelligent people. It's very hard to get it right. You also have to deal with the mental aspect of getting all those dumb hotheads to work together.

It matters to me, just like his service to other dictators matters. Who he sold his skills to and to what purpose he used them matters. For instance, I have grave misgivings about boxers characters who are less than exemplary outside of the ring. Much as I enjoy Ali, Tyson, or Robinson, whenever I watch them now, at the back of my mind there is the lingering thought that Ali was a racist, Tyson a ******, or that Robinson beat his wife and children. When I listen to a Michael Jackson song, I feel some measure of guilt for appreciating the work of a man who may have been a child molester and my respect for the men's professional achievements is restrained.
