Do you consider Canelo a boring or exciting fighter?

he is a very good basic fighter with an excellent chin. Danny Garcia on steroids.

 

I don't think he is boring, but I don't find him to be Mr. Excitement either. He is not must-watch tv for me

 

One thing you can't say is he's boring.

 

Not boring like Floyd Mayweather. Because he looks for action in the ring and isn't running around.Can't complain.

i put in between he can go to war or he can coast

i lean more toward exciting than not and his worst fights often were the fault of his dance partner, its very hard to be exciting when another guy will not engage however he wont turn up the pressure in that scenario either

The first two Golovkin fights were great fights

 

Extremely skilled and mostly an exciting fighter

This site is the minority. More like to watch canelo than those that hate him. He got a gift decision against this sites favourite fighter and has been hated since

Least he has the balls to move up and challenge himself

 

He has great skills
Especially for a lil 5-7 guy
However the fact that he is 5’7
Makes it extremely difficult for even he to overcome when someone is not making the fight (like a Charlo or a Lara aka runners)
He has great athletic ability but not freak athletic ability like a Roy Jones, mayweather or Paquiao.

So when facing taller opponents who like to move & engage less.
The fights can become yawners.

 

Pressure fighter who barely throws and doesn't really have one-punch KO power. Hmmm...

He does have a ridiculously hard head, though...

 

No ****ing way he's boring. He tries hard even when outmatched. He's a warrior even if you don't like him. Look at how Charli fought him and Mikey fought Spence, and Loma fought the first half vs Teo. Canelo was outsized/outmatched by Bivol and did everything he could to win. He took some big punches and kept trying.

 

I can't remember ever seeing Canelo in a boring fight tbh.

 

He’s a natural counter puncher so it depends on the opponent. If he fights someone aggressive then it’s entertaining but if it’s a defensive mover then it’ll be sub par.
