Do you consider Deontay Wilder letting his rematch clause expire a duck?

Isn't it frustrating when guys do that? It's why Wilder has pissed me off for years now.

Wilder without the WBC belt has much less leverage. This is a new scenario on his side.
And on Fury's side 2 Joshua fights completely Trump a 3rd Wilder fight, so that's his agenda.

I think Wilder probably still has a belt-holder's mindset in place.

Tough to say. Would have been more palatable if he just came out and gave his reason(s) for not wanting the fight...be it money, lack of live gate, needs a tune-up or two, etc.

No, because it was Covid's fault, but the fact that he has not been able to be reached is bull****.

He didn't duck, he just ****ed things up as bad as he could when he realized the situation was a bust.

What? The date and location were set.

Wilder didn't reschedule a half dozen college football championship games for that weekend. Wilder didn't reschedule two NFL games for that weekend. Wilder didn't start or spread COVID. Wilder doesn't work at the TV networks that told the promoters move the fight.

Fury's own promoter said Wilder's team worked with them and weren't the problem.

Fury's team was in favor of having the fight in January or February, because it meant more money.

Arum even called the fight another victim of the pandemic.

The only person involved who didn't want to postpone was Fury.

How the hell are you blaming Wilder for this? How stupid. Honestly.

No. I think he needs a reassessment period. Guys who have been KO'd have been afforded that. I wouldn't begrudge him if he came back w/ a tune up first. BUT...if he did that, he needs to beat a top 5 contender before a shot at Fury again. a REAL top 5 contender.

who the **** knows anymore. That's the sorry state of HW boxing. What do you think he should do? Jump right back to Fury? There's Parker, Pulev, Hunter, Povetkin... he lost badly. Work back up!

Dubbs, I said not, it is not a duck. I said no. I said no.

Fury, Warren and Arum have all stated that they have not been able to reach Wilder for comment, which made the situation more difficult. They could have axed the fight awhile back and moved on, but Wilder has been a bit of a pain in the ass, is all. He made a bad situation worse by disappearing.

That's all. But no, it is not a duck. It is not a duck.

Problem is the stuff coming out from Wilder's camp is the gud ole "anywhere anytime" line which given Dec in the UK is free you have both covered..

I know most of Wilder's fans have the combined iq in single didgets but really he could just have said he needs more time either due to injury or to make sure he has a better game plan.

Most wold respect him more for it.....

    What? LOL.

Fury said Wilder wouldn't take his calls after Fury rung him up and called him a dosser.

Who wants Fury randomly calling you from the UK screaming dosser into the phone?

Fury and Wilder weren't negotiating anything.

Loma and Teofimo weren't hammering out the details of their fight on the phone. Joshua and Pulev aren't sitting at home now on the phone arguing with each other over who gets what cut of the merchandising.

    The managers and promoters negotiate.

Do you honestly think these kinds of fights get made by boxers calling each other?

Think Fury is on the phone with Agit tonight negotiating a contract?

Do you think that's how this works?

So you didn't read the part where I said that he is not answering the promoters either?

Problem is you clearly don't read. Arum and Warren both stated why the fight is off and it had nothing to do with Wilder.

I was going to say Doublechin was Wilder given how hard he swings of Wilder's nuts but Wilder is too shook right now to be typing on a computer..

    Maybe he is Marcelles??

Doublchin you should go beat Fury up like Vitali did for Wlad when he got spanked??

Arum and Warren aren't negotiating contracts with Wilder. They were negotiating with Finkel.
