It seems like Wilder is going to be on the outside now for a while. Next year there will likely be two fights between Fury and AJ and after that a unification fight with Usyk or someone else might be the next thing in sight. Or Fury simply retires if he beats AJ. So it's kind of hard to see where Wilder would get into the picture eny time soon. His best bet would be if AJ loses to Pulev. That could open up for a rubber with Fury, but does Wilder really want it?
I don’t think it’s a duck as much as it’s just timing with attendance, money, and possibly Wilder adjusting to a new trainer or still recovering from surgery. He already fought him twice so there’s no reason to think he’d be afraid to do it again. But it is possible there is some psychological issues with the beat down he took.
Fury ain't retiring. He has said several times since the retirement talk that he intends to fight until he is 40, or until he "can't do it anymore." He also spoke about how Covid made him realize that boxing is all he's got. He's going to fight on a long time.
Wilder ducked him and chickened out as a *****. He also has gone into complete hiding since the beat down which shows he has not recovered one bit psychologically
